Hello everyone. I got a call from the Jerusalem consulate today. Me and my husband had an interview on September 11,2009 and they told us we were not denied but they needed some more papers and pictures from us. We sent everything in on Tuesday. I tracked the documents and everything was received at the JRS consulate on Wednesday. Today (Friday) we got a call from them. My husband answered, they asked for him and he told them it was him speaking.

The guy asked my husband information that is already in their files, such as his mothers name and DOB, and his fathers name and DOB. He also asked my husband if he had ever been out of the country and where he was born. also, he asked the names of his siblings. All this information is all already in their files, so i wonder why they asked. I am a little worried and cant help but feel uncomfortable they asked for stuff already available to them.

Is it a way for them to trick people and catch them in lies or something? lol... i must sound crazy to some but i cant help it. The guy then told my husband to have a good day and that he would be contacting him in a few days. My husband said he can hear the guy flipping through papers, obviously our files.

Has anyone been through this? Thank You :star:

moving to Embassy and Consulate Discussion...

what is that supposed to mean?

It means your post was moved from one board to another where it might receive more helpful information! It's a good thing!

They're just checking up on the questions. They often do try to catch people lying or trick them so it's great that your husband was able to answer the questions! It means that there is some movement on your case.
