Do you know how many German and Japanese babies died during WWII because their parents supported evil regime? Who is to blame for this? Sadly there is no way to reeducate terrorists and because they are hiding behind civilians many civilians are killed too

Out of curiosity how do you know for a fact that the Germans, as a whole, supported Hitler?

There's a lot of $hit ideas floating around about that period of history. Hitler wasn't actually all that popular - seeing as in 12 years not only had he started a war but he had torn up the country's constitution.

My guess is the vast majority of Lebanese just want to be left out of it, but their views are not that important.

I would disagree with one thing, the concept of the nation state is relatively recent in historical terms, particularly in this area. But if Lebanon wishes to be dealt with on the basis of a nation state then it must accept the responsibilities of a nation state, including the consequences of an organisation conduucting a war from within its borders.

People have become too squeamish. A few hundred people die and suddenly it's a catastrophe.

A couple of thousand soldiers died in Iraq and suddenly all the desperate housewives want their

husbands back and the namby-pamby wimpy politicians want to pull out.

How many people died in WWII? 60 million. About 60% of all casualties were civilians --

including, by the way, 6 million Jews.

How many American soldiers died in Vietnam? 60,000.

How many people were massacred in Rwanda in 1994? 1 million.

How many of you have even heard of the Rwandan genocide? If you think the lives of Arabs

are worth nothing, what are the lives of Africans worth?

Unfortunately that seems to depend a lot on TV coverage. Life is cheap in the 3rd world - death is dead. You can't relativise it.
