and their jackoff peons on this thread try to protect them.

Everyone's afraid that we're going towards socialism in this country but what most don't realize is that if we don't make some major changes, regular people like all of us here will be much much worse off, I don't even want to imagine what our children's situation will be.

I don't think it's fair that while the unemployment rate continues to be 10% that the financial institutions that laid of tons of people off should give their execs huge bonuses, it's not morally right. Their screw ups led to many people (some of whom I know, I live in NY and have friends who work(ed) for these companies), getting laid off and having no source of income to support their families, losing their homes and health insurance.

More than a partisan debate, I believe it's a moral one.

Well were not exactly going away from Socialism. I think what a lot of people take issue with is having strong social characteristics similar to what you would in find in a lot of Europe, heading that direction is what people often take issue with, yes we have our problems here in the states that need to be fixed but I dont think that modeling the United States after Finland is the only answer or the best answer.

What social characteristics would you find in Europe but not in the States Simpson?

Government run healthcare

The funny thing (as everyone knows) is that London is full of Aussies.

They must be traitors, surely the only explanation.

Aussies are known to travel. Amazing!

Brits are migrating to Aus permanently. Like with every other topic here, you fail to grasp the difference.

BY - I honestly, truly don't care. You seem to think that I should.

What is your point?

BY - you just said that anyone from the UK who isn't living in Australia must have tried and failed, hence they ended up in the US.

I'm sorry to break it to you - but I've never wanted to live in Aus. In fact I'd rather live in New Zealand, if I had the luxury of deciding spontaneously where I wanted to live.

Never been to Aus either. I have fvcked a couple of your women though - perhaps that counts?

You have not done sh-t. Hence why you are living in a condo in Jersey.

My point is that you are a dickhead.

Who should Chrysler look to as an example of building cars? GM (because they're American) or VW and Honda?

Clearly not Honda, their cars are #######.

I'll leave that to stupidity or joking around. Then again based on previous comments, clearly not joking.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

Sorry, I prefer a high performance car as opposed to better mileage. You can go drive your hybrid douchebagmobile.

How is that a social characteristic?

Be that as it may. What exactly is it about government run health care systems that you find distasteful?

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

They should look to Gene Roddenberry and research his teleportor ideas in hopes of cutting down on emissions.

Well look at my original response and you will see that it says socialist, upon proof reading it I changed it but you guys responded rather quickly.

What I find distasteful is that it takes money out of my pocket thinking they know how to spend it more wisely.
