What exactly is it about government run health care systems that you find distasteful?

What I find distasteful is that it takes money out of my pocket thinking they know how to spend it more wisely.

Dude, wake up, that happens today already. Only it isn't the evil guvmint taking that money out of your pocket to give it to someone else to spend but the evil pimps of health care system - the insurance industry. They'll take your money - ever more of it - and then drop you like a hot potato if you actually want a service in return. What a deal!

Look at the big picture here "dude", I would rather pick my own health care provider and considering I am making the money I think its a fair proposition.

But you don't have any control over how much that plan costs you. You don't have control of the billing process, the bureaucracy, nor what you are charged.

No for the most part, but I know what your point is, the government could do it cheaper, we have conflicting opinions. Regardless I would like the option to choose my healthcare provider and if there is issues(as there is) we need to address them in a fashion so that the people making the money get to choose where there money goes

Seriously Simpson, there is a lot of information out there that conclusively proves that the American model for health care is not serving anyone well apart from a a very few insurance companies. It's not even like there is any significant competition between the different insurers. There are better ways to provide health care for US citizens, ways that expect participants to take responsibility for their own health, deliver reasonably priced care and allow for everyone to choose their own providers.
