I opened my e-mail this morning thinking I was going to see "RFE" but I really got a letter of APPROVAL for my I-130! Yipeeeeee! So the K-3 is being held up for quite some time so I think we will be going just with the CR-1 from here on out. Good luck to everyone and I'll probably be posting more in the CR-1 forum from now on. Good luck on a bunch of speedy journeys!

Congrats... I am a bit confused. I see that you have a I130 and an I129. It also looks like the earliest was in april, then may? You are in the CSC and got an approval but never got an RFE? I have no idea what happened, but congrats.

All I know is if anyone after 3/6 gets an approval at CSC it gives me a little hope that MAYBE the rollout will happen soon?

3/29/06 - K1 packet recieved at NSC

6/01/06 - Redirected to CSC

6/14/06 - CSC e-mailed confirmation on the reciept of file

6/23/06 - They they sent the IMBRA RFE

7/03/06 - The emailed that the IMBRA RFE went out on 6/23/06

7/03/06 - I received IMBRA RFE

7/05/06 - Touched

7/06/06 - Delivery Confirmation from the Post Office RFE recieved

7/11/06 - Email notification from CSC that IMBRA RFE Recieved

7/12/06 - Touched (but was to respond to an email that only said 'request recieved and will be processed within 30 days. argh)

Congratulations to both of you! Great news! For now, you can continue the both processes and after a month, you will have a clear idea whether the K-3 will be worth pursuing or not.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

Dont' give up too soon, who knows how long your I-130 will be stuck at NVC. But I agree it is great to get that NOA2.I got the same thing about 2 weeks ago, NVC record tells me I got a number assigned, which is great , but I am ready to send all the rest of the admin junk and pay all the bills already ...trust me, they are not in a hurry:)

Hang on to your K3 a little longer, maybe it will be worth it with all the RFEs done.

belize got an approval on the I-130 at CSC which is not subject to getting an RFE because of the IMBRA. Only the I-129F for fiance or spouse are affected by the IMBRA.

Congratulations :thumbs: Have you had a read of the NVC Timesavers thread which also contains James Shortcuts. Feasibly you can get through the NVC stage in 2-3 months if all goes smoothly and you follow the shortcuts to a T.

All the best to you on this next stage. You will find it much more pleasant as you have a certain amount of control with things as opposed to none at all with the service centers.
