Called Montreal just to make sure our appt was set and confirm before we book a hotel. THe first time I called a really nasty lady says that no record of appt being scheduled.

THen I called again 5 mins later and was told it is scheduled same date and time I was given on friday. I am just about to have a nervous breakdown. Is it scheduled or not?

Emailing them give no respones. Calling them just screws you up even more. I think I'm having a painc attack.

I'm sorry they're not consistent with the information. But if two phone calls have already confirmed the date and time of the interview, then I'm sure you have that slot.

I emailed the consulate yesterday with a question on my medical and they wrote back today at 15:31. I hope you get your letter soon so you'll feel more confident about the interview date. The first lady you spoke to today may not know where to find information on interviews.

when I was dealing with Montreal...one guy told me 'no way, no how, forget it' and wouldn't help me...the next person I contacted did everything in her power to help

since you have confirmation of an appointment, you are GOOD to go

yeah, when I was waiting on my interview date, I called and the lady told me basically "nope, I can't tell you that, it'll probably be 3 to 4 weeks before we have it scheduled"

I received my interview letter the very next day in the mail :P

I stayed at the Hyatt too (it was a free perk from my old job). It's really nice but a little confusing to find your way in, you can either enter through the parking lot entrance or through some revolving doors on the corner but there isn't a 'front door' like most hotels. You have to take an elevator up to the check-in desk and then another elevator up to your floor. It's a really short walk to the Embassy as well, hang a left when exiting from the parking garage, walk to the lights, take a right and it's about 3 blocks down on your right hand side, it's on a little side street to the right. :)

What street is your Hyatt on? I'm not sure if there's more than 1.

Mine was on Ste. Catharines, across from the Place des Arts.
