you should ask an organizer to move this to the Middle East and North Africa forum, you will find alot of people there who went thru Casa. Or you coudl just try posting there.

Good Luck

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Good idea, moving from K-3 process & procedures.

K1: 01/15/2009 (mailed I-129F) - 06/23/2009 (visa received)

AOS: 08/08/2009 (mailed I-485, I-765, & I-131) - 10/29/2009 (received GC)

I am surprised that they put it off for 3 months. Is this for the K1, K3, or CR1? It has been a long time since we went through Casa, but the CR1 took about 6 weeks, and it was the NVC that scheduled it. If I remember correctly the K-1 and K-3 was even faster. Anyone else more recent than us?
