(L) Okay here's the deal...the interview is one week away. We did the originals all to the NVC here

in USA all fees paid everything. We got packet said do medical, he did and finished. And it said

just take this first page with the bar code for the interview and his passport.

;) Any suggestions or other things you think he should take with him?

 He was also concerned about dressing appropriate, however it is like 95 degrees

in Cairo these days. So he was curious if they would be offended if he wore

jeans and short sleeve shirt, even if very expensive american jeans and very nice

skechers?

I just have one week if there is anything else I need to send to him, so let me know?

Although the instruction says he should take the barcode and passport, be sure that he goes to the embassy with all the supporting documents; copies of marriage certificate, birth certificate, police report, marriage photos, letters from you etc.

For the dressing, I don't think there is a dress code at the American Embassy. He can dress comfortably as the weather permits. Hope this helps. Good Luck!

Bring all the supporting evidence that you have....even things that might seem "silly" to have....bring it. We had brought phone records, emails, post mail, pics etc.....and what did the lady want to see????? A picture my daughter sent to him....that was it! Then there were others around him showing phone records and pics. Guess it just depends who you get. As for what to wear, there were only a few people there that were really dressed up. Jeans, short sleeve shirt and the skechers should be fine.

Hi there,

why are you on AR for so long already???

But to answer the question of the OP. I woudlnt wear something offensive...like a bikini and hotpants at the interview (as a woman) but I wouldnt go in a suit (as a guy) either. I actually intend to dress comfortable but nice....like for a interview for a job. My suggestion. And I would also bring everything you can, as evidence. And originals with copy's of certificates (as stated before).

GOOD LUCK

Isabel

Because G-Dub said so I guess. Because almost everyone with a SO in the Middle East has to go through this hell . Gosh, if I had the answer to this question I'd be a millionaire. :D
