No need to worry, I had the same issue. Case will get complete. After the case is completed you will get an email from NVC for additional information and this will be in regards to the Passport PCC. You can take that letter and get Passport PCC thats what my wife did. This will then be submitted to VFS 10 days before actual interview. So in other words no need to worry.

My case completed on 09/19/09 and I received interview letter for November on 09/25/09. So I would assume that you should find out pretty soon for December interview once case gets completed.

As a note once you get that checklist for Passport PCC you can take that to passport office to get PCC along with the other required stuff.

For a PCC from RPO you need the local police verification report, 2 passport pictures, photocopy of passport, original passport and the miscellaneous form. Should get it in about 2 weeks.

So this is what my wife took to get Passport PCC

2 passport pics (dont remember if it was 3 but take extra just in case)

Passport

Copy of Passport

Letter from NVC requesting Passport PCC or interview letter

Local PCC (i think its the district PCC)

My wife went to Ahmadabad for Passport PCC, you can get the form at the Passport office for 20-25 Rs (not sure of price but something like that) I'll ask wife later when I talk to her.

The online appointment is if you dont have a passport at all and im I would think your wife has passport since she is done with NVC. My wife didn't make appointment for Passport PCC, she just went there with required docs.

After the case gets sent to Mumbai, you will receive Packet 4. My wife got packet 4 some 2 weeks later and it had interview letter and blank forms of stuff we submitted to NVC already so nothing special with packet 4.

I will let you know about medical when I talk to wife later on and she did go to Ahmadabad for medical and tomorrow she will go to VFS.

Looks like sachinky answered the document part already :)

To our the indian brothers

Please please make sure before you head in for the I-129F interview

1) You need to provide them enough evidence that you will get married IN the united states. In order to comply please do the needful

A) Give them a copy of the invitation card

B) Copy of the marriage venue.. time etc with the food and everything to be served

C) Invitee list

D) Purchase of wedding dress receipts, marriage related shopping etc

E) Letter from the preist saying where the marriage will take place

F) Wedding registery in Macy;s or something similar

They will expect to see you prepared for the upcoming wedding.

Now it is critical to understand one important thing that any religious wedding ceremony in india is not approved by law. you will violate the K1 visa if you even get married on the religious basis and not register your marriage with the indian authorities.

But before you head in for the visa... Please make sure you comply with requirements A-F.

Best regards

Andy

So at the VFS office in Ahmadabad the lady there asked my wife for the following

DS230 package copy even though the embassy has everything

Took her original Birth cert

Original marriage cert

Original Local and Passport PCC

Copy of entire I-864EZ Package that was submitted to NVC

- They asked for employee letter but my work doesn't provide letter so she was OK with my 2 years of pay stubs I had sent :)

2 Passport pics no older than 6 months

Photocopy of Passport

Medical Report

They also asked for 3 months of bank statements or a bank letter. (which she did not have because no where does it say its a requirement)

- She said take it during interview

Photocopy of my passport (biographical page)

She said the lady was nice and very helpful. So now im off to get back letter and print bank statements and Fedex them to her today.
