But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

If there is any race-angle (whatsoever) it must be "racist" and treated as such.

And whenever anyone you perceive as liberal wonders whether a person is being racist, by definition they must not be... since liberals are always wrong.

People say weird stuff all the time at jobs, right? It's just a matter of someone getting "caught". He got caught this time!

A worker at my SIL's old company was referred to as a "double bagger", while they were in earshot.

They were fired for that.

If the senior manager is Hispanic, then no, IMO, it's not racist.

However, if HE is caucasian, ya, he might have a problem or two, depending on how literal the HR department is , in interpreting the laws.

He might want to consult an attorney that specializes in rebutting racial slurs..

IMO, pegging the 'audience' and 'message' , content and context, is important. If his statements and situation peg it a 'racial slur' - and the HR department treats it as such - YIKES.

WORD. I am seriously developing an internet crush on you

I think w should all chill out about this race thing. The person was just being mindless funny sometimes people stick their foot in the mouth.

Yeah, this dude is mindless funny a lot. Says a lot of inappropriate things but people laugh it off cuz he's kinda like an overgrown child.

Double bagger??

Its a sexist thing - the woman is so ugly that she not only needs a paper bag over the head to make her fvckable - but two bags.

I hadn't heard that one before. I like it, I'll try to remember it.

I think the appropriate question would be : "who reported the comment to HR?". If the cafeteria lady did, then she might have actually been offended. If it was someone else who heard it, or heard it second hand, then they are probably just a douche and after his job.

He is a freakin' relationship manager, who in their right mind would want that job?

And I actually don't know who reported it.
