I'm still waiting on case complete--I now have my Senator's office requesting an expedite with the embassy. I have no idea why the NVC hasn't even confirmed receipt of my additional evidence yet; it is driving me insane. I overnighted it, e-mailed it; enough is enough. Words cannot express how upset I am that I missed this one requirement. Had I caught it, I would have been case complete weeks ago.

Hey people!!

Well December is my birthday month, and Xmas is looming too....

Almost at case complete, so looks like I for one will be a December interviewee!!!

Who else thinks they'll join me!?

Of course we would all love one in November, but I'd definitely be happy if I got a December interview!!

Let's post here if we get one!!!!!

My birthday is also Dec and more than anything I wanted my husband to be here. He clearly wont be getting his interview by then and still needs to sell the house before he can move. I am so depressed about spending our first Christmas apart. We had planned to spend it together but financially cannot do it now. I found out a week ago and every dayis harder. I feel like someone has died. I need to snap out of it. I want this so bad. I have that NVC is in charge of my life. :crying::crying:

David's Girl-I'm so sorry. This can be such a depressing process. I don't know what to really say...can you have a Xmas together via Skype???? That would be fun! Maybe you can get a tree, put it up, and then the Scot can help you decorate by telling you where to put everything! It can be your long-distance tree together! I know saying that it will be your last Xmas apart doesn't really help...PM me if you need cheering up!

Skype is not even close enough. We'll figure something out. We got IV bill so maybe things are still possible. Thanks for the offer of PM but I'm a bit too Debby Downer just now.

Things could move very fast in the next couple of weeks! It's okay to be a Debby Downer-but I'm always here if you need to vent! And yes, my stupid Skype idea was just that...stupid!!!!! I don't know where I'm spending Xmas either. We can't even make plans until we know when our stinkin' interview is!

Our timeline:

2/88: We met in Sydney, Australia at a youth hostel! He's Finnish, I'm American-both were in our early 20s at the time and fresh out of college (so couldn't afford to visit each other's countries after that!). We had a three-day romance, then went our separate ways. He actually was going to Sydney a week later, but decided at the last minute to cut his trip short in another country and go early. Wow.

1988-1998: Wrote "snail mail" letters/sent Xmas cards, but lived our separate lives. I married someone else, divorced in 2006...he lived with someone for years and then that ended.

10/08: Because of a series of random life events, I Googled my Finn Man and found him (but no link to his email, and the website his name was on was in Estonian so I couldn't even read it!). It took me two weeks to find a link to someone else, who forwarded my email to him (we were both single at the time thankfully!!!!). The email went to his spam folder but he happened to check it that day and responded back to me immediately! This was after 10 years of no contact and almost 21 years of not seeing each other after we first met.

11/08-5/09: We traveled back and forth to visit each other. Love at first (second?) sight!

7/09: Married in Helsinki, Finland...after meeting randomly 21 1/2 years ago and finding each other again!!!!!

8/13/09: I-130 sent!!!!!!!!!

Rest is on my timeline!
