Hey people!!

Well December is my birthday month, and Xmas is looming too....

Almost at case complete, so looks like I for one will be a December interviewee!!!

Who else thinks they'll join me!?

Of course we would all love one in November, but I'd definitely be happy if I got a December interview!!

Let's post here if we get one!!!!!

I'm glad we're not the only one's thinking of this! We're also hoping for a December interview. We've already written off the possibility of November. Truth told, we'll be happy as long as we get one by January - but December would be even better.

I'm a little pessimistic, though. I keep thinking that members of the U.S. Foreign Service (agency that staffs the embassies) will be taking leave in December like many others, leaving the embassy short-staffed and affecting their ability to conduct interviews. In the government agency I work for, we get very little done in December, expecially the last 2 weeks, due to all the vacations scheduled during that time. I don't know if December is also such a time for embassies. Hoping not, but still trying to be realistic.

Yes, it's the "use of lose" time of year for fed employees around Xmas...I hope I'm a member of this thread someday though!

Our timeline:

2/88: We met in Sydney, Australia at a youth hostel! He's Finnish, I'm American-both were in our early 20s at the time and fresh out of college (so couldn't afford to visit each other's countries after that!). We had a three-day romance, then went our separate ways. He actually was going to Sydney a week later, but decided at the last minute to cut his trip short in another country and go early. Wow.

1988-1998: Wrote "snail mail" letters/sent Xmas cards, but lived our separate lives. I married someone else, divorced in 2006...he lived with someone for years and then that ended.

10/08: Because of a series of random life events, I Googled my Finn Man and found him (but no link to his email, and the website his name was on was in Estonian so I couldn't even read it!). It took me two weeks to find a link to someone else, who forwarded my email to him (we were both single at the time thankfully!!!!). The email went to his spam folder but he happened to check it that day and responded back to me immediately! This was after 10 years of no contact and almost 21 years of not seeing each other after we first met.

11/08-5/09: We traveled back and forth to visit each other. Love at first (second?) sight!

7/09: Married in Helsinki, Finland...after meeting randomly 21 1/2 years ago and finding each other again!!!!!

8/13/09: I-130 sent!!!!!!!!!

Rest is on my timeline!

Our case is complete as of yesterday and NVC said they will start scheduling interviews the first two weeks of November for December. So we're planning for a December interview. The lady said if we don't hear anything by the third week of November, I should call them again. Otherwise, they will be emailing both myself and my husband to let us know when the interview date will actually be.

Are any of you planning on going back to attend the interview with your spouses?

I will be traveling to Guyana for our interview - whenever that is.

Good luck to all of us - lets keep the faith - we all have come a very far way!!!!

Im hoping, wishing and most especially praying with fingers, wrists, arms, toes, ankles, legs and eyes crossed that we get an early December interview. If not, then the husband has no choice but to fly to the Philippines to spend Christmas with me here which would cost a lot since airline ticket would cost so much by then and then we hopefully fly back to the US together in January.

Im just storming the heavens with my prayers right now and I have faith it will be heard but ultimately it's God's will be done.

I'm expecting a December interview as well. I was actually expecting and extremely disappointed to not get a November interview. My case completed at NVC on September 25. Someone at the same consulate completed 10 days before me and received a November interview. Surely i'll make the December cut. If not, some poor unsuspecting soul at NVC is going to be unloaded on. Especially now. I found out yesterday that....wait for it....

I'M GONNA BE A DADDY. My wife is 1 month pregnant. I guess our last night together was a real hum dinger! I'll be headed back to El Salvador around the middle of November as soon as the date is assigned. I'm so excited. God is faithful and sovereign. I must always remember that.

Congratulations! I am sure you will make the December cut, especially since it sounds like you just missed the November cut... However, I would not rule out some end of the month interview assignments... They seem to have a lot of case completes that need to be scheduled! Fingers crossed for ya'll
