Melissa...

I tried to PM you, but your mailbox is full....

Basically, what I wanted to tell you is what you said. There has to be more to Javier that what you post here. Because if you love him, there has to be more than the negative things we hear.

Again, think it over, like I said, weight the pro's and con's. No one can tell you how to make your own decision.

I admire you, because being SO young, you've taken upon yourself this huge responsability, and you've carried yourself with dignity even when people here have been tough and hard with you.

I wish you only the best....

Ana

I agree with Ana as well....

Take care...

I agree with Ana....

You are too young to feel SO pressured... take your time, measure things and make sure he's not the only one getting "nourrished" from all this effort. Stepping back is never an easy thing, but it's better to do it before it's too late. Marriage is not something you just can "take back", even if divorce exists IMO.

And by the way, I read several times the "bit" LisaD didn't like and I truly did not find anything that could have offended anyone. Not having anything good to say could have meant "not having anything USEFUL/SUBSTANTIAL/MEANINGFUL to say".

So please, if we want to stop the childish dramas in VJ that EVERYBODY has complained about, let's try to read the posts more than once before starting a useless quarrel.

Wish you the best, Miss Liss... you will take the right decision because only you know what's better for your life :)

I didn't read it that way...I read it as 'I don't have anything good to say about your fiance'.

Sometimes tho, text is so flat that you cannot discern tone & when something is questionable...people will take it different ways. I understand now that Ana meant no harm by it, so I will withdraw my objection...

I'm sure Javier has a lot of amazing qualities which is why Mel has fought so long and hard to get him back here. Not hearing about them does not mean they don't exist, tho.

I agree with everyone on here. The worst time to make a crucial situation is when your emotional. Sit back, clear your head, breathe and then collect all your thoughts and feelings. I'm sorry your going through all of this and it's been so hard. I really do hope things work out for you whatever the outcome may be.

Melissa,

I hope you have some time alone with Javier when you get to Mexico before the wedding. As for the financial part, please really, really consider doing something just for the two of you. If I understand correctly, your family will not be there and if his family isn't being supportive then don't bother with them. I went through so much of the same ####### with Paolo's family. They were never out and out "against" us but they certainly didnt support us and it always seem they were trying to undermine all of our plans. This was especially difficult since Paolo was there in Mexico living in THEIR house and I was stuck here trying to deal with all of the #######. I could go on and on about the details but the important part is that so many times when I was here alone I felt as if he didnt care, wasn't making a strong effor to fight for us etc. However when I would get there and realize his situation and see how overwhelming his family could make his life and see his love for me which was always better shown in person than long distance, all of the doubts melted away. Our civil ceremony was the best day of my life - we did the church ceremony 9 months later and while our families were there and it was special, it doesn't even compare to our "REAL" wedding day.

Hey Melissa

First off.....*BIG HUGS*

Food for thought.....

Sometimes the little voices from within dont say what the heart does.

Those little voices tend to ring truer despite the love one has for another.

When one gets emotional those little voices tend to be heard.

Whether one listens is up to oneself.

I wish you all the best darlin'.......I always have.

Will you regret this choice you make all your life? were you guys faking being in love? How happy were you the day you got the visa? If you can go through this nightmare of a process you can go through anything talk it through but, don't rush out of your wedding...
