Since I'm filing the I-130 and I-485 together, along with G-325A, I-765, I-131 and I-864 I'll be sending them to the Chicago lockbox.

-Is it correct that I should include four copies of G-325A to go along with the I-130 and another four copies to go along with the I-485, all in the same package? Should the G-325A also go with any other forms?

-Is it preferable to include the I-864 in this package or wait for them to request it? My preference is to include it in this package because my income for 2009 is going to be borderline.

Yes that's correct. 4 copies of the USC's G-325A and 4 copies of the Alien Relative's G-325A go with the I-130 and 4 copies of the Alien Relative's G-325A go with the I-485. Have you seen this checklist? :star:

Yes the I-864 should be sent with the entire package as it is considered initial evidence (along with your medical exam as well).

I don't really get what you're talking about, which is fine, but it's now okay to send only one copy of the 325A. It's a new version and only prints one copy. I got approved with the one copy. I was the VJ guinea pig!

Our timeline:

2/88: We met in Sydney, Australia at a youth hostel! He's Finnish, I'm American-both were in our early 20s at the time and fresh out of college (so couldn't afford to visit each other's countries after that!). We had a three-day romance, then went our separate ways. He actually was going to Sydney a week later, but decided at the last minute to cut his trip short in another country and go early. Wow.

1988-1998: Wrote "snail mail" letters/sent Xmas cards, but lived our separate lives. I married someone else, divorced in 2006...he lived with someone for years and then that ended.

10/08: Because of a series of random life events, I Googled my Finn Man and found him (but no link to his email, and the website his name was on was in Estonian so I couldn't even read it!). It took me two weeks to find a link to someone else, who forwarded my email to him (we were both single at the time thankfully!!!!). The email went to his spam folder but he happened to check it that day and responded back to me immediately! This was after 10 years of no contact and almost 21 years of not seeing each other after we first met.

11/08-5/09: We traveled back and forth to visit each other. Love at first (second?) sight!

7/09: Married in Helsinki, Finland...after meeting randomly 21 1/2 years ago and finding each other again!!!!!

8/13/09: I-130 sent!!!!!!!!!

Rest is on my timeline!

I was confused by the 4 copies of the G-325a on the checklist too.. Everything i've read on the isntructions talks about for the i-130 1 copy for both spouses, then an additional copy for alien on the i-435...

Where did the 4 come from? An old form maybe...

Guys,

I'm married to a US citizen. We filed for I-130, I-485, I-765 and I-131. I forgot to attach photos to I-765 and I-131. What is going to happen? We just sent it 2days ago so we haven't got any ref NO yet. I'm thinking of sending a letter explaining and attaching photos to it also. As marriage bonafide is concerned I sent a copy of her pregnancy positive result, copy of our engagement rings sale ($4500) and a copy of our car insurance with both our names on it. Is it enough evidence? Any comment is appreciated.

The Visa Journey.com guidelines are OUTDATED, follow the official instructions instead. No need for 4 pages of the G-325A with each application, that was for the OLD VERSION of the G-325A, the new version has only 1 page.

See I-485 Instructions, page 4, 13. Form G-325A (submit completed G-325A for the applicant)

http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-485instr.pdf

Now look at form G-325A:

http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/g-325a.pdf - ONLY 1 PAGE to fill in and send, NOT 4 !!!!!!!!!!

See Instructions for I-130: Page 2, 1.D

http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-130instr.pdf 1 form for petitioner, 1 form for beneficiary

NOWHERE DOES IT MENTION SEND CERTIFIED COPIES, NOWHERE DOES IT MENTION SEND 4 COPIES OF G-325A.

FOLLOW THE OFFICIAL INSTRUCTIONS, NOT THE "GUIDELINES" / "CHECKLISTS" on VISA JOURNEY, they are outdated !!!!!

Hey rn7554, I would probably wait till if they send an RFE for the photos... Def don't send a letter without reference numbers. You might want to make a thread directly asking that question though so someone that's done something similar can give their advice.

For the relationship ties, that sounds fine you can bring a lot more evidence to the interview.

Congrats on filing
