Hi all,

Today was the interview day. Went to the USCIS center in downtown Buffalo about 15 minutes prior to the appointment time. We proceeded to check in and goto the appropriate floor where there was one other person in the room, perhaps on the same business but maybe not. After submitting the appointment letter to the receptionist and waiting for about 3-5 minutes or so, we were called up and sworn into the office.

My wife (USC) had to show ID and I gave the officer my passport. After looking at the AOS documents and verifying credentials were correct, she proceeded to hear 'our story' and the supporting evidence, namely our pictures. She asked some questions regarding particular events, revealing that our families have met and we've had an extensive history together. She asked for supporting documents to add strength to our case, of which we submitted joint bank statements, joint loan agreements, joint vehicle purchase and registration, joint insurance and some other bits and bobs.

She took these items away for photocopying and upon coming back she notified us that our case would be approved today, stamped and sealed my passport with the temporary green card and told me about the removal of conditions that will be required soon.

It was a very pleasant experience and put my mind at ease. The staff at the Buffalo office were very nice.

Dec 2006 - he proposed

Feb 2007 - K-1 filed

Dec 2007 - K-1 Visa Interview (denied), the reason: i was overstayed my previous visit in 2000-2003 (my bad)

Feb 2008 - I-601 Waiver filed

Sept 2008 - Waiver approved (K-1 Visa issued)

Jan 2009 - the Wedding Blessing & Reception (Bali, Indonesia)

Feb 2009 - Arrived in the US followed by the Civil Wedding & Reception (again:)

March 2009 - AOS filed

April 2009 - Biometric

May 2009 - EAD card in hand

Aug 27th 2009 - AOS Interview (approved, yaay)

Sept 2009- Green Card arrived in the mail...yippeeeew...(i want to sing of Your Love forever)

June 2011 - ROC filed

July 2011 - Biometric

Dec 2011 - ROC approved (Best Christmas ever, i must've been a really good girl this year :)

The wait would be unbearable but it'll be worth it. It strengthens the love, it attaches you even more to each other, it shows how your man would do whatever it takes to be with you, that he will never give up on you because he LOVES you!! All the waits, stresses, tears, heartaches, all the miserable feelings you feel along the way will be paid off once you get what you've been hoping for...oh and WITHOUT PRAYERS? will be like trying to start a fire with water, JUST WON'T WORK!

01/09/04 -- Finally met him in person when he visited me in London, UK.

June & Dec 04 -- Visited him in Los Angeles, CA.

07/10/05 -- Arrived in the U.S. on F-1 Visa.

07/18/05 -- Got married in Las Vegas, NV.

01/08/09 -- Visited London, UK with him.

06/12/09 -- My graduation, F-1 Visa expires in 60 days.

I am also living in Buffalo now, it is where my husband grew up and we had the same experience there. They were very nice and approved us on the spot with very little poking and prodding if any.

11/18/08 - Arrived in U.S. on B2 visa

02/05/09 - Extended return plane ticket to stay for an extra 3 months

04/23/09 - Decided we didn't want to be apart even though we extended the stay and got married!

04/30/09 - Sent I-130/I-485/I-765 from B2 (no I-693 as it is not yet complete.)

05/03/09 - Received email form USPS stating that package had arrived safely and was signed for!

05/11/09 - Received NOA1's for I-130/I-485/I-765

05/16/09 - Received Biometrics Appointment

05/30/09 - Received a CRAZY amount of RFE's that were dated 05/21/09

06/01/09 - Biometrics Appointment Scheduled. In and out in 10 minutes!! Sent off RFE information (Should arrive in MO on Wed.)

06/03/09 - USCIS received RFE response

07/23/09 - I called to have a service request put in

07/24/09 - I-765 Touched (FINALLY)

07/25/09 - I-765 CARD PRODUCTION ORDERED!!!!!!!! (About time!)

08/03/09 - EAD card came in the mail WOOHOO!!!

08/07/09 - Interview letter arrived

09/02/09 - Interview Date

09/07/09 - I think this is the day I received my Green Card.. Can't quite remember anymore.

08/03/11 - WOW it's already been TWO years! Sent ROC package to VSC.
