He's getting there. A far cry from what he looked like when I first brought him home.

now how long did yours cook?

I put my 18 pounder on 275 starting at 8am

now it is 3 30

so that is 7 1/2 hours already

what do you think?

I wasn't planning on releasing it until about 6 pm

i love it when it first comes out and I get that first picking of the meat

I love the skin all crispy

now this year I cooked it in a bag

how did you season yours Sis?

Well, I cooked mine for about 4 and a half hours on 325. It is 14 pounds. It appears good and done. I gave the bird a nice piece along with the snapper and kitties.

I didn't. I just rubbed it down with :dance:extra virgin :dance: (you know how I love them! ) olive oil.

even at 14 lbs I thought it would take way longer than that

I had my oven higher set than you did. It is done because it's poor limbs were falling off.

i can't believe i still have to sit here

i did nothing but mess around all day

boss was out most of it

now i just have to sit on call to wait for the last minute stuff to come rushin thru :whistle:
