My mom is a really ####### cook but she's never made Thanksgiving so I've never had to worry about someone ruining it. I'm so happy for you Rob!

The only thing that I'm worried about this year at thanksgiving is the stupid questions from my family. They only recently (last month) found out that Canada has a thanksgiving too. I'm dreading the "So do you eat turkey on your thanksgiving too?" questions and worse.

the first thanksgiving I was home from england everyone asked me if I had to learn french because they all thought they speak french in england :unsure:

They don't? Quel catastrophe, quelle horreur!!!! :P

1. Record everything. Take notes of every single phone call (time, parties involved, the gist of what was said) and keep all correspondence. Mumsie would go Nixon on their azzes and record the conversation and transcribe it. This would prevent any misunderstandings or misconstruances.

2. Write a polite letter pointing out that you do not owe the money and if they persist in this course of conduct that you will report them to the state. Either send it registered or fax or both. Get the name of anyone you speak to.

3. Contact the state licensing authority and provide them with the documents that you have collected.

That's about it...for now.

OK. However, if we write the letter, then they have our address; which they do not possess right now (more proof that it is NOT our debt). AND we have the conditional discharge approved, #######.

Beasr with me, I am a total noob when it comes to this #######.

You do not need to provide your address, only an account number or whatever identifying number they use for clients.

The boy is asking for my attention ..... be back soon.

stop the presses!!!

whew whoooo

No biggie, he needs someone to tie his shoes.

No, he was just telling me that he will be going to check out the transcripts thingy and send everything to ECE. Then he mentioned he will probably go to the doctors in the next few weeks. I think he has his priorities all mixed up.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

I would contact the state authority and ask them what they need to file a complaint. If they have your address, then they can send you mail which is evidence but I'm torn between feeding the beast and letting them poke blindly in the dark. You should still record and/or document all contact the agency has with you and your inlaws. I hope that you are checking your credit reports from time to time.

To the agency, I totally agree. I am not too sure about the state licensing authority though, but it wouldn't hurt to ask the local consumer protection agency or branch office of the state licensing authority.

I remember knowing these 2 ugly people I worked with at my old job (they were very nice, but unfortunately they looked like creatures from Star Wars & Lord of the Rings)... they dated each other & I always secretly thought 'wow they're going to make one ugly baby'

Low & behold, they did have a baby and it's sooooo cute. I guess the good looking recessive genes went to work. You'd never know this was their kid.

how do you think i explain why ben is so cute?

#### 'em. As accounts get passed (sold off) around there is a rush of excitement as the new azzhole thinks that he or she can get a piece of the action. Personally I'd approach the state and ask them what you must do to stop it. They might only need a synopsis to open a complaint. That's the best way to proceed since collection agencies hate it when the government comes calling.
