I'm with a bunch o' non-English speaking people all day now. In my mind, I thought of telling them, "English only outside of the regional forums"

Good one, Bishop! Make the sign of the cross with your hand in mid air and say, " Hey all you foreigners...get off the grass".

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

I went to the deli to get ham, cheese and bologna, but I left with all that plus a colossal egg sandwich and home fries :)

Luis & I have our 1 year wedding anniversary coming up on Dec 19... not sure what to do, I can't drink :(

I was thinking Radio City Christmas Spectacular, see the big tree @ Rockefeller Center and then have dinner someplace nice? Sound like a good idea?

Luis & I were really lucky that the visa process for us was super easy, even the interview was ridiculously easy. It makes me feel so bad when I see others who are going through problems (like you K!)

A friend of mine lives here in the US and her fiancee lives in Peru, they have a 3 year old son together. He just had a visa interview and they denied him because they haven't seen each other in 2 years (but when she filed - they made the cutoff). She couldn't take a trip there, she wouldn't have had money for the visa and all the ####### that goes with it. Needless to say, this pisses me off. They have a KID together. Gosh are people heartless?

Can they appeal?

I think so, she's tried to call the embassy but they put her on hold forever and then don't pick up.

She's contacting her congressman too. I just don't understand why they denied them. They had so much proof, I mean they even have genetic proof

It just makes me sad for her... she's been doing everything on her own and not only does she miss him, but could really use his help. Plus her son needs his dad!

And like Comrade Dean when he was drinking cognac and hollering at the trick or treaters.

thanks suzy and nagi. i have come a long way in the emotional department. i think i hit several stages including rock bottom. now we are just mellow. waiting for nvc to complete our case, and hoping for his interview in december. but he is not planning on coming until the end of january anyways, so i guess january interview is also fine. we made a lot of mistakes in last year's filing, and relied on a dumb a$$ lawyer who ended up being just a paper pusher. we are doing this now with just the help of God, and so far we have only had one rfe, and that was for something that was just uniquely to india. now they have it on file, but with today being a holiday, not sure if we will make the december interview cut off.

now we just look at it as a way the government wanted to make sure we love each other. and now i think we love each other more than we did last year. oh, and i got my payback when i refiled and went into overkill with relationship evidence (which was the main reason we were denied last time, we had very minimal proof).
