Lawd have mercy!

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Whoa...the thread ran wild yesterday! :wow:

Commies, let the Spirit of Peace return to this thread!

Let us have a collective Amen/OM.....

I am indeed here.....Good moaning Comrades K and Bishop!

I agree with you, Bishop.....we need the peace and collectiveness...the very base on which this thread was founded.

The boy is driving me stark raving sane ! Everyday he bombards me with assignments to check with this university or that university and I know nothing about universities.

Nagi...if you need some help, send me an email with a summary of what he is thinking. I can take a look at it...maybe I'll be able to help.

However, Sister*Len* gave the first/best advice to you yesterday. The first thing that needs to happen is for his current degree/transcripts to be evaluated to see if they 'compare' to the USA requirements for a degree. There is a good chance that he won't need to go to a community college (community college is normally only for the first two years of a degree, and covers mainly basic requirements) if indeed most of his current college credits will transfer/confer. Depending on how that evaluation goes, he might only need to complete a few 'leveling' classes (for lack of a better term/word) in order to fullfil the requirement for a Bachelor of Engineering in the USA. Len will correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe there are a couple (maybe on a couple, period) of agencies which do this evaluation. I can't remember their names but she probably knows them off the top of her head...

Too bad he didn't think of this while he was in the USA. He could have easily ran to one of the many colleges in Detroit to check this out...

Probably the first thing that you need him to do is send you a copy of his college transcripts from Egypt, so you'll have a basis for beginning to look around.

Bishop, thank you and I missed Comrade Len(in)'s post about this. I know he has to have his transcripts translated first and he can easily do this.

This moaning I got an e mail asking me to look into U of M Dearborn. Thank you for you offer....I may need advice in the future as I will call U of M later this moaning.

Morning Commies!

Morning Bishop, Nagi & Kaushalia :)

Unfortunately, the bulk of my day will be spent cleaning & organizing AGAIN... Luis promised me he'll get the house painted this weekend so I need to catch up on the clutter and stuff like that.

My son Joseph insists on sleeping in his underwear and then parading around the house in the morning (watching TV, eating breakfast) in his tighty whities. I feel it's harmless if he's in the house, Luis thinks it's so funny... but it's getting cold and the kid just won't put on any pajamas.

What to do, what to do...

Hey there Comrade Susita!

Nothing wrong with your son wearing just the undies. When he gets cold enough, he will dress warmer.

Painting??? I need to finish painting my kitchen. Since my ceilings are so high, and I have no ladder, it is difficult to cut in....but I must find a way.

The most important room is the boys' bedroom, I'm redoing it for them for Christmas and I'm buying those big wallpaper comic book figurines - spiderman, wolverine etc. for the walls.

I have to get these rugrats to school, be back in a bit :star:
