Hey! How many of you C4Cs are starting to think like me and agree that Brother Almighty's new job is the SVcKChop! :ranting:

Well...anyways...missing BroDean's wisdom...

I concur. The chopfuski hasn't even showed up to say "hola commies", or "right thinking":(

Terrible and just wrong!

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Guys, any advice on planning a wedding in another country when you're not there?

I want to get married January 2011 in Peru but don't trust my inlaws to plan it. I love them to death don't get me wrong but I don't want to sell beer at my wedding.

sell beer?

eta: you can hire someone to do it

Don't even ask!

Yeah but I can't trust them to tell me who to hire either. It'll be somebody's brother's friend's cousin who gets everything cheap and bootleg. And all the people I find online are strictly in the city, and we want to get married at the church in his hometown & then there's a beach country club that rents out it's space, it's soooo nice. We still have to have it catered, decorated and everything... they just provide the tables and chairs and bar. To rent it is only like $300 bucks so I'm okay with that.

so none of the wedding planners will do stuff outside of the city? country clubs usually have someone in charge of planning parties and they'd be able to at least direct you to people that can help. also some churches here (don't know about there) also offer a wedding planner for a small fee to make sure things go smoothly.

When we go on vacation in January I'm going down there in desperation and asking. I'm just used to the US way of doing things. Over there you have to know somebody and no one has a damn webpage!

I would start with the country club. The person in charge of booking the country club should be able to help you some. Also places like that should have caterers, linens, etc that they normally use or recommend you use.

we were all so nice and all "ooh yay congrats!" but we need to find a way to get him back!

I suggest we round up all your children... dress them up like hoodlums, and I can show up pretending to be mega drunk, screaming:

:protest:DEAN, RECOGNIZE YOUR CHILDREN!!! :protest:

Whatcha'll think???????
