Anyone getting their APR jacked up?

Looks like its time to call them and give them the balance transfer ultimatum. And keep the account open just to remind them if they don't want to keep my APR where it is (Citibank).

They want to play greedy, they will lose any interest on whatever balance I keep with them.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

The balance is less than 1K on that account, and the payments are always on time and more than the minimum.

And I hear its also going up for $0 balances...

Strange. Citi just increased my credit line and lowered the APR.

Chase, on the other hand...

They sent me a letter. Citibank (World MC- for the AA miles). I did read an article a couple of days ago that of the major players, only Discover pledged not to raise rates like this while the consumer protection law went into effect.

I'll be calling them when I get home today from lab. In my nice Customer Service voice. They'll either earn my loyalty or mainly provide me with available credit (with no usage from me), not actual credit.

Yes... their gas cards I read specifically. We'll see about non-oil cards. They do give the option to opt-out and voluntarily pay down the balance but I won't even give them that satisfaction and in the end, they'll be losing a revenue source unless they don't decide to treat a premium customer with some more respect.

BA just upgraded me and lowered my APR- as did Discover. Go figure.
