I got the AOS fee bill for my husband and i am a little bit confused about how to mail it...it says in the instructions that i need to stick the barcode along with the money order...i know there's a form that we have to detach and send it along with the money order and there's a barcode in it as well but on the envelope in which the docs were mailed in there are two barcode stickers kinda things and i am confused as to what they are and whether that's the barcode the instructions are talking about? (or maybe its just the post office thing cuz its a gov doc?) i need urgent help in this regard...any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Kiny

You simply need to send the bottom portion of the Bill along with your money order/cashier check of $70.00 which should be made payable to the Department of State. Please write your case number on the upper right hand corner of your money order/cashier check. That is all you need. You can either use the envelope that NVC sent or any envelope you prefer. For Express mail, you need to use the USPS envelope. Make sure, send it to the St. Louis, Missouri address, not to NH address.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

Simple male

You were right  . My DS 3032 and AOS bill fee were generated and mailed on 7/17. My question is do I have to wait to send the AOS bill fee back when I recieve the bill from NVC or can I go ahead and send the generated copy that I did from the shortcut to NVC with the payment now?

Thanks for the reply. I also have one more question. I want to know if the money order i made is correct or not...i got a western union money order thats made from every seven eleven store and other places but in the instructions it says that the money order or check should be drawn from a US bank and made payable to the Department of State....i normally send them a cashiers check so i am concerned if this money order is right or not..also i have to fill in the Department of State myself it's not pre-written on the money order....sorry for the confusing question...

Thanks,

Kiny

I would get a money order or a cashier check from a US bank. Yes, you can write "Department of State" by hand or the bank can write/type it for you at the pay to the order area. Don't forget to write down the case number on the top right hand corner.

The AOS fee bill instructions say that a money order/cashier check drawn on a US Bank. While not writing the case number may be ok, as long as one attaches the bottom portion of the bill which has the barcode with case number. I hope, they accept your postal money order.
