Able to travel to U.S. territories without AP?

I am trying to figure out a honeymoon location for immediately after our wedding. Of course, Hawaii would work, but I was exploring options and wondering if anyone knows if the U.S. territories, such as Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, are a possibility.

We were married in the US Virgin Islands. There is a Customs & Immigration checkpoint at the St. Thomas airport. We had no problems at all.

I believe the officer asked some questions such as:

"When were you married?"

"How long have you stayed here?"

"Where did you stay?"

Since my parents live there, I highly recommend the USVI.
