I think the bank statements only come into play if you're using funds in that account towards the I-134. Unless I'm mistaken?

I had no intention on bringing any of his bank statements, only original cc statements pertaining to our visits and money spent.

I called DoS today to confirm our date. Got a real "pleasant" woman, haha. But I confirmed and I think I'm going to book everything this weekend.

Oo ok, we have a letter from his employer stating how long he's worked there, his job title and how much he makes, his W2 from last year and his I-134. If that's enough, we won't bring bank statements.

I think that would be enough. Do you have your tax return for 2008? Some people have been asked for that in the past. We got a letter from the manager at Bill's bank confirming he has an account and how much money he has deposited into it in the last year. It was never asked for specifically and a lot of people don't bother, but since we know her personally we thought it would be a nice touch if needed. I think bank statements are more for people using assets to hit the poverty line, like Sam said.

Oh Varba's doesn't need assets to hit the poverty line.

So we'll get his tax stuff from last year. I think it should be good.

Ah yes, should've added, we're bringing his tax transcripts from 2006/'07/'08, pay stubs and finally the letter from the employer.

For financial proof, we're bringing:

1. tax returns

2. letter from employer that he's employed (prolly need a new one, ours was written back in July)

3. checking account

4. mortgage payments

5. letter from the bank stating his bank account statement (when it was opened, current balance)

He had everything notarized too.

I honestly dont think they will look at every proof... especially if he has a job. I hope :P

Thanks for everyone who helped with my birth certificate question. I do want to clarfiy, I dont need to get a certified copy -- a regular copy will do?

Thanks!

Another question!

I filled out my forms last August when I got P3. Two of those forms (DS160 and DS156) ask for all the visits to the US.

Question: should I refill the forms again? Especially for DS160 because its automated...

I think I will email the Montreal peeps about this, but not sure if they will reply on time.

And yeah, no P4 yet :/ I think I will move my intended POE bec of this.

Did you already give him the affidavit of support and all your financial information? And don't forget your passport! You need that to get into the building.

I think all of the NOAs, any letter from NVC, the copy of your I-129F (if you made one).

My fiance sent me all of the financial support information (though we will update our files by adding new pay stubs, house payments, new letter from employer, etc -- WE DO NOT WANT THE VISA DENIED :P), sent me all his flight tickets, phone cards -- to add to our ongoing relationship file.

Hmm passport and driver's license?

i'll be bringing the affidavits and i hope my folks filled out the paperwork right because it will be in a sealed envelope (they are very private about their finances). i am disabled and don't make any income, so my paperwork was easy.

as for my passport- my last name was spelled incorrectly on it and it's currently in the hands of the passport office. i hope to get it back this next week! EEP! cutting it close!

So I'm planning on POEing the friday after the interview.

Do you think I'll get my visa by then?

It's like 4 mailing days, so it should be at my house by then, you think?

I live in Ontario.

I live in Ontario.

If you figure out the answer to that, let me know :P

My family has suddenly showed interest in my upcoming nuptial and want to fly down for my wedding. So every 2 hours my mother calls, asking me when she is going to fly to Baltimore. I dont even know when Im getting married bec it depends on when the visa is going to arrive.

Right now we're thinking the 25th -- he proposed after turkey day so why not marry him before!

Are you flying for your POE? I am, so its gonna even be worse bec air fare is gonna be so expensive if I rebook or wait too late. AND I have a job offer in Jan so I need to file the EAD asap...

I think the average day is 3-4 days but P4 hasnt even arrived, and Im from Toronto... should be 2 business days really...

:(

P4's also going by normal mail.

The visa should be an overnight thing if you pick it, I'm just so worried that they're going to take forever to send it out because of booking so many interviews.

And I think we're going to POE in Toronto Pearson Airport, it's the closest.

I have a ticket I can use that I can rebook this flight with, which is nice, but I'm still worried about not getting it on time, I'd like to POE with my fiance there.
