congrats cody on your approval,it was nice to meet you guys, hope jen 17 did well also.Well i got to the consulate at 6.30 wanted to be frist in line.I know know that i was stressed out for no reason. The envelope i had 390 by 294 was ok,and also they accepted my deposit slip. The interview went good, the man i had was very warm, make me feel really comfortable. To me it seems if you got all the required documents your ok and be approved.I never had to show half what i had, just the main ones, also he told me i will have my visa in 7 days,so i guess i be packing.

Congrats to cody and loveforall! It was great meeting you guys! I'm sorry I haven't posted sooner about the results of our interview. I've been a bit swamped at work since coming back. Anyway, since we were missing the police certificate, he just said we had to send that in and they would send our approval. He said everything else looked perfect and asked us "what happened?" when it came to the certificate since everything else was fine. lol So I explained the misunderstanding to him and he said it'd be no problem. We got the police certificate ordered the first day home last week, and it arrived Monday, was sent back to the consulate on Tuesday! So now they'll have everything they need and hopefully we'll hear from them soon! :)

It's true, they didn't ask for most of what we had either. They asked for no evidence, and asked just basic questions about our relationship (who proposed, if we've met each others' families, etc.). He was very friendly and joked around with us, and the interview was actually a very nice experience. Man, my nerves were really on edge leading up to it, though! We're so glad it's over!

Congrats again, you guys, and to everyone else getting their interviews!

We got APPROVED!!!

Thanks to everyone for their support. This site has been great. Will post the review later. Overall, we were in line since 7:20, and were out by 10:15. So it really wasn't that long of a wait. The wait was worth it, though. The cashier, the person at the counter, and the consular officer were all super nice.

Good luck to the rest of you with interviews!

Tina

Great!!! It went so smooth. I was nervous for nothing(as usual!).

Oh, btw...remember when you told me about when they call you to the window to look at your file when they open it? I did & saw the big red "APPROVED" stamp on the top of the page! After that I really calmed down. I figured as long as I had the paperwork they wanted that day, I was good!

Thanks for that insight!!!

P.s. Hope things are going well. Another Canadian comes to Michigan next month!!!
