I was so kidding about the 8AM thing... :P

I tend to work on about four hours of sleep, so I see no issue with dragging my butt out into the cold before dawn.

My vote - last person there has to grab coffee, haha.

Yeah, I was kidding about the 7am thing too actually... we'll probably be ridiculously early. I'm really one of those people that just needs to know that am THERE, ya know? Anyways... I vote person FIRST in line provides timbits at least. lol

I agree... though it may cost me my future marriage, haha, we're going to be there unbelievably early.

What time does Timmies open? :P

So First I make Sean wait 2 hours in line at the Consulate and then I make him wait 2 hours in line at the movie theatre for New Moon? Yeah, it may cost me my marriage too.

Haha, those are my thoughts exactly!

I told him we couldn't back out of New Moon - I already bought the tickets. Hehe.

He doesn't mind the franchise... It's the constant wait with screaming teen gals that makes him cringe. Oh well! :P

am I the only one that hates this Twilight series? I AM willing to give it another chance, but i read the first book and was NOT impressed, so I've sworn it off. The hype makes it even worse for me. I've not yet seen the movie, but I don't find ANY of the leads attractive, and I DO know this... Kristin whatsherface is a shitty actress and Robert Pattertwats is a snob. THERE.. there I said it.

*shrug* No sweat to me.

I saw the first movie and found the acting awkward but the storyline intriguing. My sister ranted and raved about how awful the movie was, that I had to read the books. So I did.

Personally, I found the books to be incredible, and finished the entire series in the span of about two days. It allows the giddy-romantic side of me out, haha. And I am looking forward to the movie because, as with any adaptation, it'll never compare but it's interesting to see it all onscreen.

True Blood is an incredibly shitty adaptation of Charlaine Harris' work, imo... but still, love the show. :D

I work at a high school, and all the kids were reading Twilight so I definately wasn't going to. My students kept recommending it and I thought no way. One of my co-workers was reading them and said they were good, so I gave the first book a try. It was much better than the movie, and I ended up reading all 4 in 14 days. My entire department at work has read them, an d we all can't wait to go see the movie. In fact, they are mad at me for seeing it in Montreal so I told them I'd go twice. I agree with Sam that it is a romantic series and when I read it I kept thinking about Sean.

I think the "moms for Twilight" thing is all about women who want a little excitement and romance in their lives. Yes the books are simple and easy to read but so what? As a single mom I enjoyed that they were a quick read.

Let's not turn this thread into a Twilight hating thread. Sam and I want to enjoy the series. In the Venting thread people made it clear how much they hate Twilight and I didn't say a thing.

I keep thinking "outside of organizing everything a little bit more (and adding Ben's support docs), I'm just about done".

I still don't have the silly envelope. In fact, I keep forgetting/ that I don't have the silly envelope. So, Monday, after work, I'm going to rush over to the post office and get the damn thing before it gets to be too late, haha.

And Missa, it's a new director for each movie. The first woman apparently was a wee bit on the crazy side, so they say. The second guy they (the crew) seemed to like much better, but he was stuck in post-prod while they were beginning scripting/filming for the third, so he couldn't direct it.

Part of me would love to be interviewed by someone who whole-heartedly knows their stuff. On the other hand, to think that every insecurity, every question, etc has been read and cataloged by their interviewers... Kinda intimidating. :(

The man who interviewed Missa and me is the Deputy Consul General. (Not Lee McLenny). Still, big honcho ; )

He was so not intimidating. You're not going to get grilled on how well you know consulate procedures or anything :hehe:

I am sure he/they perused my posts, and a question might've been asked that wanted to check my honesty against what I've posted here, but since I answered honestly, it was all good.

The single single most important thing I would say one must do while at the consulate, and especially while in the interview: BREATHE.

Haha, that's what I meant, the Deputy.

Silly me.

We plan on being there *EARLY* (probably 6-6:30)....My buddy's gonna drop us off (I think) and then we'll catch a cab back to his place after. I have hoodies and jackets and all kinds of warm stuff, and spoom is more or less a human space heater :)

We brought our gift card for The Keg to use for our (hopefully!) celebration dinner.
