OK hows this for being so excited my brain leaked out my ear: I arranged with Darkchilde to meet up... next week. But I showed up today :lol: oops.

It seems like they only do K-1 interviews in clusters of 5 on any given day (at least when I was there that's how it was done), so very interesting to think the 20th and maybe the 13th will all be VJers! :D

You think only 5? When I was there, there must've been at least 10 people for a K1, maybe even more. The waiting room was packed. But they might've also been CR1/K3 too I suppose.

There were only 5 of us waiting on the immigrant visa side to be interviewed that day and we we're all K-1's. Maybe it varies depending on the day? I'm not sure.

2009-11-09: Interview in Montreal - VISA GRANTED!

2009-11-21: POE - Moved to be with my fiancee :)

2010-01-23: Married!

2010-02-19: Sent I-485 (AOS), I-765 (EAD), I-131 (AP) package to Chicago Lockbox

2010-03-01: NOA1

2010-03-16: Transferred to CSC!

2010-03-24: Biometrics in Buffalo

2010-04-21: AOS APPROVED!

2010-04-27: Received I-797 Approval / Welcome to America letter for AOS

2010-04-30: Received Green Card

ROC:

2012-03-12: Sent I-751 package to VSC

2012-03-13: I-751 package arrived at VSC (Hi D. Renaud!)

2012-03-14: NOA1

2012-03-15: I-751 check cashed

2012-03-19: Received NOA1

2012-03-27: Received biometrics appt. notice for 2012-04-19 in Buffalo

2012-04-09: Successful early walk-in biometrics at Cleveland ASC

2012-12-04: I-751 APPROVED / 10 YR GC PRODUCTION ORDERED!

Naturalization:

2015-11-30: Here we go again: Filling out the N-400

2015-12-21: Sent N-400 to Phoenix AZ Lockbox

2015-12-23: NOA Date

2016-01-20: Biometrics in Cleveland

2016-01-25: In-line for interview

2016-01-25: Interview scheduled!

2016-01-29: Received interview letter! Scheduled for...

2016-02-29: Interview in Cleveland - APPROVED!

2016-03-18: Naturalization ceremony in Cleveland! I am a US Citizen!

Oh yeah, I'd like to add I got a very very nice person when I called DoS.

Her name was Sarah and she was like:

"Are you sitting down?! There's good news!"

I thanked her like 6 times.

I liked Sarah. I had.. Kate? And I think I don't remember the name of the person this morning, even though I repeated it, I was so excited I forgot to write it down (yes I have a notepad document with every call I made, and the name of the person if I could make out what it was -- I only ever asked if I have a date yet, except for the time Anna gave me the block). Jessica, maybe? I'm still spinning! :dance:

Sarah's the one that kept telling Varba not to call every day. Look where that got us! An interview!

08/04/2010 - Green Card received (and it's actually green!)

05/30/2012 - Sent ROC packet to VSC

06/08/2012 - Received NOA1 for ROC (Dated 06/04/2012)

Whoops, I just realized I got the wrong booster shot!

"You must have proof of a Td booster within the 4 weeks prior to your immigration medical."

I accidentally got Tdp, P being Pertussis aka Whooping Cough.

Oops. :lol:

Oh well, she told me Whooping Cough was coming back for some reason, so maybe it's good I got it.

Oh well, she told me Whooping Cough was coming back for some reason, so maybe it's good I got it.

Basically (without trying to stir controversy) people are choosing to not vaccinate their kids so some illnesses that all but disappeared are making a comeback.

As long as your doctor is giving you what's medically necessary and/or required by the US immigration policies, meh, it's all good! My arm was sore for days after being vaccinated. Yoga =ed painful.

06.25.10 - biometrics appt

07.02.10 - emailed that our case is moved to CSC!

07.14.10 - touched

07.21.10 - touched

08.03.10 - approved for EAD

08.05.10 - uscis mailed out EAD

08.09.10 - EAD received!

01.05.11 - a ###### RFE over 6 ###### months after the fact

02.01.11 - touched

02.14.11 - APPROVED (finally)!

02.25.11 - received green card in the mail

DONE WITH USCIS FOR 2 YEARS!
