Leamington.

You must hear The Ketchup Song in your sleep. My next-door neighbour was from Leamington (his son was in my class) when I was a kid and he'd mention where he was from and the first response from people was the words Heinz or Ketchup or a few people started singing The Ketchup Song.

Never heard of The Ketchup Song, though I do get quite a few jabs as I never eat ketchup. I won't go out of my way to request to have it removed from a burger or anything, but I don't like it, heh.

You poor, culturally deprived child. We can correct this immediately. BTW, I don't like ketchup on my burger (in the mix is fine) but my French fries simply won't do without it. Pop likes ketchup on his eggs, but he's weird that way.

I'd better memorize this song because my last name is going to be Heinz (but not spelled that same way).

 Damn it, I can't get that song out of my head now. :bonk:

I feel so weird having 325 in cash in my house, I'm always so paranoid of someone trying to break in and steal it.

I mean, no one knows I have it, but that's alot of money to me.

I struggled so much yesterday trying to get more passport photos.

Shoppers doesn't do US style ones, the woman didn't even know what a US style passport photo is.

So I ended up finding this place across from my work that does them. I knew the place was there, but I never knew they did passport photos.

It's a very nice place, and it's a local business. They also host my city's photographer's guild.

He was SO nice. He didn't even make me sit there until we got them perfect. He took the glare out of my glasses with Photoshop.

I said to him "Wow, I'm so glad I found this place, your passport photos are much cheaper than Walmart's"

He then asked me "How much are they charging?"

Me "14.99 for 2, and they're guaranteed"

He laughs and says "That's ridiculous, mine are guaranteed too!"

So I got 3 sets of the photographs for 9.99 a set.

He saved me 15 dollars and was very nice and very helpful.

Though honestly, I wish I fixed my hair a bit, it's sitting back too far since my hair was up... and I wasn't exactly smiling.

Oh well, it's not like I'll really ever see these things again

I went to a good local photo place and got a good deal on pics too.

LOL I've almost never had a picture where my hair wasn't ####### in one way or another.

As far as the smiling thing, I've never had a passport pic where I'm smiling. Actual passport photos aren't accepted if you're smiling (link)

But visa photos don't specify that the applicant must avoid smiling.

I had laser eye surgery recently, but all my passport-style photos are before that, and I removed my glasses, so I have this weird intense stare that is actually "I can't see a damn thing"

Well, I know for the Canadian ones you can't smile, but I don't think you can't smile in the US style ones.

Cause I was smiling in the ones I sent in with the petition and they took them.

Lol @ the ostrich.

hmm. smiling in any kind of official photo just seems weird. My first drivers license photo let me smile (ear to ear, in fact!) but last time I went (last year), they said NOT to smile. So there ya go with that intense stare.

Lol @ the ostrich.

animal pictures work every time

I know what you mean about the cast, btw. I once carried over $700 for a few hours and I was FREAKIN' OUUUUT.

Wow, the 3.5 star hotel on hotwire's 69 bucks a night right now....

Must... resist.. booking till tomorrow!

I want to get it as cheap as I possibly can.

I hate booking stuff. I always go back and check and see if the price went down again, then if it did I feel so bad.

I never carry cash, ever. I always debit everything. So it feels very, very odd to have the money for my medical/courier + visa fee hiding in my room.

When I visited Sean over the summer I gave him $410 USD cash for the medical and for the interview fee. He took it to the bank and deposited the $131 in his US account, and then the rest into his Canadian account. The lady counted the two hundreds as two 20s so she said, "Ok $115 USD= blah blah CDN." Sean was nodding his head and agreeing with her. I was like, ####### my accountant fiance doesn't know it is $275 USD? Then I teased him about how if it was HIS money he'd make sure it was correct down to the last penny, but since it was MY money he didn't even notice the difference!

I had Sean take his pics at Walgreens over here. They charged $7.99 for a set of 2, so we had 3 sets made.

Don't feel bad about your hair- Sean was missing his two front teeth (incisors) and his hair was about 3 inches long and curly. He just got his teeth implants last month and now his hair is cut pretty short.
