I need to check if I have enough photos. I'm pretty sure I made copies of the ones I sent.

Not like we have many photos in the first place.

Maybe 10 in 6 years?

We're not photogenic people.

We didn't make copies of the ones we sent but I basically have them in a folder and I'm going to print out a sheet of pictures (instead of printing and cutting up like I did last time).

I don't take pictures, really, I don't want to live behind or in front of a camera. However, I've taken a few here and there and it's mainly for the purposes of documentation for immigration. I have 1 photo from 2006 when we first met in Boston. :luv:

Is anyone else insanely nervous? I've found myself going over and over and over and over the paperwork, even though I know everything is in my file folder. I've also had all sorts of nightmares about it, including me being arrested for..things...that are horrible :crying: . I can't wait till this is over!

I had a dream two nights ago that while I was handing over all of the requested paperwork, the woman behind the desk said I had the wrong forms. I went over and over everything in my hands and insisted I had the right ones, but she told me that I didn't and was automatically denied and had to leave the building.

I think I'm going to be holding my breath until the day I cross the border.

Omg im SO nervous....to the point I feel nauseous. It's not in my control anymore...So Im hoping to God that I'll hear those sweet words..."Welcome to America"...on Nov 16th. I'm not doing anything wrong. From my understanding, I have all the paperwork and proof etc..so let's say worst case scenario they give me sh*%t for some sort of paper work that isnt upto their expectations...Im sure I wont get fully DENIED...maybe it'll postpone it by a few weeks.

But deep inside even thinking about waiting more than I have to, just breaks my heart. I wanna be with my hubby! :crying:

Yeah, we've picked our hotel, but are still hesitating on booking until we receive that letter. We decided to wait one more day and see if it happens to arrive tomorrow. Either way, we're booking the hotel tomorrow.

We've also decided to drive 8-9 hrs, instead of take the train... and to only stay one night instead of two. Almost $2000 worth of unexpected expenses this month (and that's NOT including any immigration-related stuff) has made us need to save money wherever possible.

I was just wondering, for CR 1 visa, everything was asked to be submitted through mail. I.e. Birth certs, marriage certs, Affidavit of Support, fees, criminal check etc. Wasn't that the case for K1 visas? Or do you have to take all that at the interview?

some copies of those things were mailed, but most everything else needs to be taken to the interview. which is why we're all freaking out!

I'm not really too worried about paperwork since I got the new P3 which made you send everything.

I did the new form on Firefox though so all the pages didn't print out.

I hope they don't get angry at me for it.

I can't even re-do it because the printer is terrible.

I can probably do it at my mom's work, but I dont know.

Do you think that they'd understand that Firefox didn't let me print out all the pages and just make me re-do it then and there?

HAHAHAHA this was why I put this thread up to begin with, and we can still do it!

Finally finished putting together our paperwork. I put them all in a big fat red binder. Each "set" of paperwork is inserted in a sheet protector, with the originals in the front and the copies inserted at the back (of the same sheet protector) -- so I can easily flip to the right page, then pull up the back page to hand in. I bought some tabs that Ill be labelling so there will be little confusion on that day... *hopefully*. So here goes:

Page:

1. P3 check list/copy

2. The explanation for P3 check list/no copy

3. DS230/copy

4. DS156 (2 originals)/2 copies

5. DS156k/copy

6. DS160 (submitted online but printed the entire thing too)/copy

7. Seven copies of DS160 receipt (paranoid... )

8. Birth certificate/copy

9. Police records/copies

10. Vaccinations/copies

11. Fiance Letter of Intent (from Feb when we first filed K1, to July for interview and printing a new one closer for Nov 13)/copies

12. I-134/copy

The rest are proof of financial support, so debating still if I need to make copy:

13. Fiance's letter from bank

14. Letter of fiance's boss stating he has full time job

15. Fiance's pay stubs

16. Fiance's checking account

17. Fiance's tax return from 2008 (2 copies)/2 copies -- should I bring more tax returns?

18. NAO1/copy

19. NAO2/copy

20. Letter stating that our information is in Montreal/copy

21. Fiance's original letter stating that we are applying for K1 (the table of contents of our I-129F apps)

22. Copy of our I-129F petition

23. Fiance's G325A

24. My G325A

We have quite a bit of pictures, but I cant remember which ones we included in our I-129F application. I think the original advice we received was put pictures that "spanned" some time -- so am bringing pics between 2005-2009. Im bringing all our used phone cards, flight iteneraries in the past 2 years, our letters to each other, cards, some of our e-mails, wedding plan details. Ive asked him to bring copies of his mortgage payments too.

Hmm quick question and sorry for that long list. My fiance moved into the house he bought in July -- he checked USCIS and read that he didnt need to update the govt that he moved because the I-129F was approved. Anyway he put a new address in his I-134 and added a note stating that he moved, and quoted the USCIS statement that there's no need to update them that he moved, and attached a copy of his request from the USPS to forward his mail to his new address. Will we get in trouble bec Montreal has not been informed?

We've picked a hotel but we're waiting until tomorrow when the hunny confirms with his boss if he can take the 12th and 13th off. I booked my bus ticket and will be arriving in Montreal at 12 pm on Thursday!!!

Finally married... and still married... ;)

You might search other topics for this, but I think if you do it again, you're not going to go to a fiery purgatory.

I can't remember if the DS-160 made me not use firefox, or if they said IE was only supported browser, or if I'm thinking only of the Ontario govt online stuff, but I used IE for it, just so that weird things didn't happen. I use AdBlockPlus and NoScript with FF, and sometimes these mess up forms etc - especially if the thing uses multiple domains to work the site.

I would probably try to do that.

Another tip: I got PDFCreator. So anything I print, I first print to PDF. Then I print it. Now, something recently wouldn't print to PDFCreator, I don't remember what.. But in any case, for most things I have it in electronic form, then on paper as well....

:insert panic:

I just checked and mine didn't fully print either, on any of my copies, electronic and otherwise. Maybe I did use firefox too.

Now, PRESUMABLY they have the entire form info we entered, They really want the confirmation page from us. The printed copies are...

sigh. :brain asplode:
