We met in May and he came to Brazil for a visit in September. To be honest, the fist day we talked I knew that relationship was going to be special. We first talked about getting married 2 weeks after we met online. Deepn inside we both knew we wanted that so much! We knew we were right for each other.

He asked me to marry him 2 months after we met online and I said yes. But of course we wouldn't get married not knowing we were the same as we were online. So he came here to spend some time with me, and because my family wanted to meet him too.

We knew we wanted to be together even before seeing each other in person (we had long great beautiful talks everynight). But when we finally did see each other in person and spent that first moment together, the fact that we'd get married soon wasn't even a question anymore.

He came here to spend a month, marry me(which didn't happen because we had some trouble putting a few papers together then. And also because we heard that the K1 visa was easier) and go back to the US but he ended up staying here for 2 wonderful years.

He officially proposed to me 2 weeks after he got here. I'll never forget that moment! :star::star:

If someone told me this same story before I'd call them crazy or something.... but we have the last 2 years(almost 3 now) and the many more to come, to show we were not that crazy. In fact, we were very lucky! I wouldn't change a thing about it!

I knew he was the one after five months. We didn't get married for five years. It wasn't five years solid....it was off and on.

Finally finished with immigration in 2012!

Oooooooohhh....

I felt like I wanted to be with him for good after about 2 months of talking online and the phone.

He told me he thought he wanted to marry me after we had been talking about 3 months.

When we were planning our first visit, we would talk about our future, but always with the catch-phrase "if things go according to plan".

We got engaged on the first visit. We were married just a little over a year after meeting online.

It's what we call 'the leap of faith'. (L)

Met in March '05 (whilst I was engaged to someone else!), got engaged somewhere around the 10th of June, married on the 16th of June!

And never for one minute have I regretted it, and I wouldn't change anything. My husband is my life, and I never thought I would find anybody as perfect for me as he is.

We started chatting end of May/beginning of June 2000. I remember our first chat, we randomly met on Napster after he asked me about the FF7 music I had (it was actually my brothers, I was on his account....I guess I should thank him, never thought of that!!) and we moved onto ICQ and he sent me some pics and I thought he was cute :) He says he knew right away I was special but I think he's just saying that ;) We were together for a few days shy of four years before he proposed, but we knew we were meant to be together long before that, just too young to get engaged :)

Bruce and I met June 2004 in my hometown the night before he was going back to Maine (he was here vacationing with his buddy). We took a liking to each other the first night but we were in a group of about 8 or 10 people. Everybody said goodnight and I told his buddy to email me to let me know they arrived home safely. He emailed me and gave me Bruce's email address (he rarely used his computer up to that point but that soon changed! :yes: ) and the rest is history. We knew we were in love before he came back in October and it was the beginning of a beautiful relationship. We got engaged in August 2005 and now we're waiting for our Interview then we're getting married in Las Vagas in either April or May. I only thought I was in love before.....................nothing compares to how I feel now. .........................AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWW (L) ....{{{{{HUGS}}}}

We met around April of 2002.. got to be friends that summer (I actually didn't really like him at first! dunno why I kept talking to him... VERY glad I did..) But he had a girlfriend back then of many years.. so i never thought anything would actually happen.. but then she was a beotch.. (grrr) and they broke up and a couple of months later I finally went to go meet him (feb of 2004) and we started dating.... Then we filed for K-1 early may i think.. and got married about 14 months after we started dating.. And now here i am :-) very happy to be here with him..

We started talking about marriage a little over two years into our relationship. About two and a half years into our relationship we started the process for the K-1 visa. We got officially engaged after I had the visa in my hands already. Now we are married close to a year already! :)

When we were planning our first visit, we would talk about our future, but always with the catch-phrase "if things go according to plan".

Same here.

We met online in August 2004. I seen his profile on HOT or NOT and I was gone lol I had this overwhelming feeling that I couldnt quite explain initially. I clicked on HOT naturally ;) sent him a brief email, and we started emailing, chatting online and phone convos regularly within a couple of weeks. I courted him as I knew I wasnt letting him get away. I knew before he did, that we were destined.....but I think thats mainly as he was a little determined about the long distance issue. My persistence and wooing paid off in October 2004 when he sent me an email telling me that he loved me and his plans had changed. That I had drawn him to me with my bombardment of undying love by way of emails, poems, web sites....you name it I did it hahahaha. In January 2005 I headed to the US for us to meet for the first and only time. Our feelings were just as strong, if not stronger, in that we were meant to be. He officially proposed on my birthday 26th Feb and we were married on 30th March, only a couple of days before I flew back here to australia. Now our journey to be back together is drawing nearer and I am longing to be in his arms once more, this time I wont be leaving.....this time is forever.

We met in Jan 1998 and married in April 2004 so over 6 years for us too. I was busy finishing my MA and didn't want to move and he had 2 sabbaticals in that time so we spent a lot of time living together before taking the plunge. I would never marry someone after such a short while if we came from the same country, so I wasn't about to do the same just because we were 'foreigners'...in fact, I wouldn't have married him at all if it wasn't for immigration!
