consider this: posts 1 and 2 that you cited. i'm friends with amby, she's talked to nessa and i on the phone. it's banter between us, and i don't see your point to judging our banter in off topic.

post 3: i'm friends with krikit - and yes, before she became a mod. she knows my mailing address. and it's friendly banter there too.

I'm not trying to crucify you Charles, mostly because it'd be a waste of nails. But if you want to spread your own particular brand of conversation within OT, well I guess that sort of thing is sanctioned by VJ and is therefore your right. It certainly doesn't demonstrate the kind of judgment anybody should expect from a moderator. Your "friendly banter" often consists of objectifying and humiliating women, and the fact that your target audience consents doesn't excuse it. But my real point isn't exactly the content of your posts. It's the absence of content within your posts. It's as if somebody appointed you as a nutritional expert based on watching you eat bags of chips and pork rinds. Your posts rarely (if ever?) contain anything helpful. You spend 90% of your time in OT, and if you've ever actually offered immigration advice beyond "read the guides" or your patented collection of jpegs, I can't remember when.

And again...there's nothing wrong with that. VJ tolerates your own brand of participation, and bless your heart for staying in that wonderful little groove. But in my mind, it's not what makes a good moderator. If me expressing that opinion bothers you, well I guess I don't blame you. I wouldn't want to hear that I was unqualified for a job that's just landed in my lap either. But no, I won't take it to pm. I've just as much right to post here as anybody else, and I do believe I've been keeping it within the TOS. Report me if you think otherwise.

so my posts don't meet your approval. that's not exactly a news flash to me. nor do i see a point to trying to prove you wrong about the immigration advice bit, as those who are a bit more aware of things (like ewok, for example) are a bit more read on about that topic than you apparently are.

as to why i don't write long replies, there's a reason for that - again, you'd know that if you spent more time in ot, so it's understandable you don't know why. but to judge me based on the length of my replies is quite entertaining. plus, i didn't know i'd patented my jpegs. that is news to me, thanks for keeping me advised so i can file suit on anyone using them! don't know any good attorneys for that, do you?

you have the right to express your opinion, i have no qualms with that. nor do i see a point in reporting your post as i see nothing that violates tos within it. but hey, since you doubt my judgement, maybe you should report yourself?
