I don't have much of an opinion either way - mainly because I don't have a lot of interaction with Charles! - but I don't think it was necessary to remove julez's initial post on the subject. If that was a personal attack, then its one of the tamest I've ever seen.

I have protested the removal of my post directly with Ewok. I listed reasons that are valid as to why this appointment should be reconsidered. And I appreciate the support of members who recognize that my post was not a personal attack, but rather a reasoned argument as to what makes a good moderator. ETA: And what does not make a good moderator.

My post wasn't an attack either. Me saying that Charles is usually rude, sexist and mocks people is the truth and I am actually being nice to him saying it this way. There is no reason why my post should have been removed either.
