For me, this is a prime reason why Charles shouldn't be put in any position of authority on this site.

surely you remember the unpublished comments of yours on my profile, which devalue your opinion?

to put your concerns, and others, to rest, i do not intend to "mod" you, mox and a few others. those issue will be passed to the moderating team to deter any concerns about past issues.

I think credibility is more of a concern for you in this context, than for me.

Yeah, I get that's the point everyone is trying to make.

I've sort of decided that being made a mod on Vj is like American politics. Nobody thinks anybody is good enough and everybody can cite examples of why people are a poor choice. Not a job for anybody with a thin skin.

I do think Charles is going to have to back off with the trash talk. It might be part of his personality but it's got no place in moderating.

Personally I'm going to be anxious to see how impartial he can be on issues he's got a personal firm stance on. He's not known to be very 'good' at seeing the other side of coins. And I don't have a problem with stating that because I can be bull-headed also.

don't sweat him. charles isn't going to let personal feelings or past discussions cloud his judgement on mod actions. he is a bigger person that that. IMHO- he is a good choice
