Asalaam!

My fiance lived in Pakistan for 5years. Therefore he needs a police certification from Pakistan. He no longer is in Pakistan. Can someone guide us in how to obtain a police certificate of good character from over seas. Who we need to contact, what forms do we need to file and of course we would like it to be expediated if possible. Any help would be appreciated.

Someone who has gotten their PCC from Pakistan might be able to answer, however, you might get more accurate responses by posting in the Pakistan regional forum... Good Luck

City to city it is little different procedure to obtain PCC. I have got PCC for my wife from Karachi & Islamabad. Please let me know which city he used to lived in. Also, to obtain PCC for a person who do not lived in Pakistan, for that you need to contact local Pakistan embassy/consulate they might guide/help you.

Hi,

Thanks for the replies. We did contact the Pakistan Embassy in Kenya and they said that a form needed to be filled out. When he went to go pick-up the form--they said there is no form and he just needs to write a letter requesting police cert.-- which we have done. Since, they gave us conflicted information-- I want to make sure.

He lived in Rawalpeindi for 5 years.

Thanks for the help guys--- anything is appreciated!!

If your finance knows any body in Rawalpindi, then it can be done quickly. I am feeling if you go through Pak Embassy it might take longer.

In Islamabad, it was straight forward to obtain PCC. Get a form from your area police station, fill it, get it certified, get it check from security branch at sector F8, then turn it in to local police station. Local police station get the address verification by sending police constable or ASI to your home address. Collect the form back from local police station and submitted it to sector F8 security branch. You will get the PCC next day. It sound difficult but can be done in 4 days.

I am not sure how dose it work in Rawalpindi.

Salaam. Does your fiance have any friends or family in Pakistan? If so, they can obtain this information for him with a copy of his passport bio page and entry/exit pages and two passport style pics. My husband lived in Pakistan for 7-8 months and he was able to have his uncle get it for him, who them mailed it out within a week of obtaining it.

Otherwise, sounds like the letter your fiance wrote should work as well. My husband went to the Pakistani embassy in Cairo and requested that they obtain the police certificate for him. He had a very difficult time with them. They too asked for the same information we gave my husbands uncle (passport copies and pics). I will be honest though, we are STILL waiting to get this information from the embassy there. My husband requested this information back in August of this year and they have yet to contact him regarding the police certificate. Mind you my husband has NOT followed up about this because we already received the certificate from his uncle. So, just make sure your fiance bugs them enough at the Pakistani embassy to make sure they follow through with this request.

Thanks guys--the info you provided is very helpful. My concern is also that the Embassy may not process it fast enough and it may take months.

Best to all!!

See if he has any family or friends in Rawalpindi. My husband has gotten his own PCC for himself, gotten his brother's for Europe, and his friend's for Canada. He is able to do it in 2 days. But, we dont live near Rawalpindi, so I dunno how long it takes there. Good luck with you.
