How dare ICE try to trample on this white mans right to be a racist pig?

Dude just come out and say you don't like Caucasians. No need to hide it subtlety using such incidents.

It will be the joke of the century if this guys ends up in jail, while illegal aliens are free to roam, take jobs, commit crimes and basically do as they please. Unfortunately there are enough idiots in this country who would actually endorse that.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

If the idiots running the federal government spent as much energy actually detering illegal immigration rather than detering any effort to detering illegal immigration...maybe there wouldn't already be 20 million illegal aliens running amok in the USA.

And, I'm sure this Sheriff's is any better. Sacrifice our own freedoms for a small cause.

I don't feel any less free than I ever have. The 20 million illegal aliens (and their cheerleaders) are much more of a problem than the sheriff ever will be. The sheriff was elected by the people. The illegal aliens are a burden imposed on the people.

But we don't want to offend them or violate their right to be here illegally.

Last time I checked, the illegals didn't take my job. What? They only making a measly 20k or atmost 30k if they're lucky. Good Lord! It takes time like anything for law any law enforcement to collect them. I'm surprise many are willing to sacrifice further freedoms so that they will round up all the illegals.

Suppose that they are all collected and sent back, how to prevent further illegals to come back in? Zero possible prevention.

Heck, last time I checked ICE agents are also expensive. Your visa expired, multiply that by 100 or 200 people who lives in various states. How many ICE agents are needed to collect all of them? Oh, btw, those illegals don't stay in one place. My god. Lets start tagging people by serial numbers.

I don't think people are arguing against deporting illegal aliens, but rather Arpaio's profiling methods that ARE racist and biased... people saying it's for the greater good, say it because it's nice to see from their side of the fence, since they know they will never be profiled in that way...

I just can't imagine what it feels to be an immigrant in his watch, to be profiled and arrested with his poor excuses of 'probable cause', just because the immigrant has 'speech patterns' that might tell he's an immigrant, ergo, a suspect

I think the teabaggers are a bit confused about this one. One one hand he is messing with the almighty Constitution by ###### with due process. On the other hand, he is rounding up people taking their jobs and deporting them.

Err... what I am saying, Go go patriot Joe :P

Have I not said a good 30 times now that this is why liberal yanks do not care about the impact of illegal immigration. Do you think your engineering job is not related to the rest of the economy? Do you actually believe that if the blue collar workers ended up poor like Cambodians, the country would continue to be able to sustain your job?

You guys don't get it. You are all in this together. No country is able to succeed without the blue collar workers doing well themselves. None. The better they do, the better you do. Blue collar jobs collapsed first in this economy and dragged your own house prices down. That is how an economy works.

The solution is simple and easy to implement. Mandate e-verify for every employee, with a $20K fine per offense. Surprise surprise, this will also pay for ICE.

pedroh Pedroh Pedroh. There has been a noticeable and huge increase in Hispanics all over America. I have not seen a English speaking blue collar worker in months. Since we should not profile or stereotype, can you tell me what visa they used to enter the United States?

thank you, you said it for me.. we know who Arpaio is targeting.. and it's not fair for all hispanics to be treated like probable suspects, do u wanna rather put a sign on our clothes? or a barcode to identify the legal hispanics? from hte illegal ones? would you be willing to be stopped all the time, if it were your ethnic group the one targeted?

detaining people just because they match a biased racial profiling is illegal, period.. what's so hard to understand? sure, deport the illegals, but make sure you're not getting innocent people in the process, just because they match the patterns

Maybe Arpaio should target Australians or Japanese since they are apparently big offenders too. Lebanese commit a large portion of crimes in Aus so yes they are targeted. If they don't like it, they know where the the closest airport is. The police are not targeting them because of their skin color or race but because of their actions.

But anyway, do you have a problem with mandatory e-verify for employment and all government services? Yes for everyone. As well as $20K fines (per offense) for any business and their manager that employees illegal immigrants and does not carry out the proper checks.

Living in AZ and going through this immigration stuff is what hurts the most. What sheriff Joe is dong (and what news doesn't say) is that he is rounding up possible illegals who fail to produce any form of ID. I think what he is doing is good.

Some people are falsely making it out like some sort of witch hunt.

Magistrate in our county said 70% of the people they charge with a misdemeanor or felony are Hispanic. Yet they only make up 6% of the population.
