Well I'm sure even Australia has a few "remedial / special needs" type schools (of course they're better than the equivalent elsewhere).

He had some choice comments about those kids as well.

... every second kid seems to be autistic in the US ... it seems autism is now the new ADHD. Never bad or negligent parenting of course.

Man is made by his belief. As he believes, so he is.

Arizona : Poll Data

A Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communications telephone poll taken from October 2007 (of 677 registered voters) found that:

69% of registered voters support penalizing businesses that “knowingly hire illegal immigrants.”

83% opposed issuing drivers’ licenses to undocumented immigrants.

62% support Sheriff Joe Apario's stance on immigration law enforcement

A Rasmussen Reports conducted on October 3rd, 2007 of 500 likely voters found:

74% of Arizona voters want the Sherriff’s Office to continue recent sweeps to arrest and deport illegal immigrants.

77% would like other law enforcement agencies in the state to follow the lead of Arpaio’s team.A Rasmussen poll Arizona Survey of 500 Likely Voters conducted on July 21st, 2009 found:

51% say Congress should pass immigration reform before health care reform.

65% believe that enforcing the borders is more important than legalizing those already here

These guys will ignore any data. Apparently their opinion is all that counts.

Agree even when you show the data, that people of Arizona support what Joe is doing.

Some people are just stuck on stupid!

If you read back a few pages it was explained quite explicitly and in some detail what is wrong with sheriff Joe and his methods.

His popularity doesn't answer any of that.

Since the federal government is doing nothing, he is simply serving his constituents. Good on him. I sent his office an email today saying job well done. Also asked him if and where I could donate a few grand.

All good an well to sit up here, a a few thousand miles away from it all, and talk ####### about someone trying to fix a problem facing his community.

Federal tax of $500,000 per day on each slave employed. I-9s for medical care, school enrollment, money transfers. Tear down the fence, I do not like being fenced in. They did that in Berlin.

STOP Slavery now. The Sheriff will no longer need to do that job, he won't need your money, no one will need to be deported, there will be no incentive for slavery and Barack Obama can be the guy that gets credit for truly ending slavery in this country. We need to stop this trafficking of humans in our country to be exploited by business and politicians...including the Sheriff in AZ, who gets more than a few votes that way.

Stop Slavery! lol so funny. I have seen many of your so call slaves in Phoenix making 20 bucks an Hr.

Yeah - the people of Maricopa County.

Thinking that its justifiable to make up the law as you go along isn't just stupid, its completely irresponsible.

Look - I don't understand what's wrong with expecting our public officials to enforce the laws. I mean that's what every seems to want regarding illegal immigration, isn't it?

Enforcing the law doesn't require anyone to abuse their position, a person's civil rights, nor to take it upon themselves to make up laws (or to take the law into their own hands) merely because they don't like the Federal Government.

The language in laws that are written, or I should say the quantum langue in each law written are widely left to interoperation, by both judges, law enforcement and attorneys alike It’s nothing new. So why can't you answer my question?

And your redemptive solution is?

If its nothing new then Joes department wouldn't be under investigation by DHS.

I see a lot wrong with what sheriff Joe is doing - racial profiling aside, its not effective. Joe is more interested in aggrandising himself than in actually delivering tangible, verifiable results.

As to solutions people have been talking about fining employers and increasing ICE funding. I don't see what's wrong with that

In any case that's more detail than you've provided in your strange defence of sheriff Joe.

Whats wrong with Joe, as you say in aggrandising himself is just the tip of the iceberg. Many if not all of our members of congress and public officials are, as you say "aggrandising" they want 'power, wealth, influence, or status of somebody or something, especially by a deliberate plan'. What is wrong is our current goverment, and the polices on immigration.

Your behind the times, in Arizona they (local goverment) tryed to fine employers but never really inforced it. What is in place now is E-Verify program This program is now mandatory by employers, but this dose not fix the true problem at hand, illegal immigration. Only true immigration reform will resolve the issues.

So because you take the "blah blah" view that politicians are corrupt, we should suspend all and any criticism of Sheriff Joe?

POINT YOUR CRITICISM TO OUR INEFFECTIVE GOVERMENT.

Investigation Reveals ICE Monitoring Programs are Ineffective Immigrant Detention Alternatives

On Tuesday, October 20, the Houston Chronicle released a report based on records obtained from the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The report revealed that, during the past five years, nearly 20 percent of suspected illegal aliens who went through ICE’s “Intensive Supervision Appearance Program” (“ISAP”) failed to appear for their day in immigration court, and that “private contractors that administer ISAP…were ‘unable to locate’” these aliens.
