What I have gathered over the years is that clearly to some like you here, the ‘he does it too’ argument is a valid excuse. Numbers mean nothing to you. For example, per 10,000 people, if 10 Aussies were illegal compared to 350 South Americans, in your mind neither is worse than the other. That is not true, as this example illustrates that South American are 35 times more likely to be illegal than Aussies. However, you will sit here and say nope, illegal is illegal.

The only difference is that an illegal immigrant from Australia or Europe is likely to be better off than an illegal immigrant from the developing world. And that using constitutionally dubious tactics of rounding up people based on racial characteristics is fine when we are talking about people from developing countries is fine, but doing so on people from developed countries is not.

So obviously you don't really care about the law. If you did, you would see the danger in supporting Sheriff Joe. You care about keeping all the undesirables out of your life and think that somehow deporting certain ethnic groups is somehow going to accomplish that. Gangs and other criminal groups existed long before illegal immigration was a problem and they exist even in more homogeneous societies.
