Hi to all, this is my first post although visajourney has been a big help for my fiance and I. I recieved a notice from NVC on September 18th and was told it was sent of to the USEM. I called and was told it was sent DHL. I also called USEM and was told it was in the computer system but the packet has still not arrived so my fiance wasnt able to schedule a interview. Its been a month already since I got the notice from NVC. Was wondering if it is normal up to now that the USEM still has not recieved the packet. I seen on many timelines that it only takes a few days to get to Manila Embassy. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

From what I remember NVC sends out a package to Manila about once a week. DHL normally took three days to get to the package to the USEM. The USEM took about one to two weeks to get all the approved petitions checked in to their computer system. A month seems way too long.

I would suggest calling NVC again to verify when your approved petition was sent. Next have your fiance call (Immigrant Visa Unit) | 011-632-301-2000 ext 5184 to inquire on what is causing the delay on your approved petition.

Have the USC fiance call the Department of State (DOS) to find out if the USEM has received your file AND processed it into their system.

If DOS says YES to both questions, you should be able to schedule the interview date.

thanks to all..I have called the embassy and they said it was already in the system...so is it normal that its taking this long for them to recieve the packet. Or maybe it is just sitting in a office waiting to be looked at or what not.
