Hi everyone,

I'm wondering... has anyone dealt with having to delay the medical examination? My fiance is having some problems getting his passport and his medical exam is in 3 days. He applied for it months ago for those who might comment about the short timing. So, I am waiting anxiously to see if he can maneuver the corrupt moroccan system into getting him his passport within a few days; but if in the case that he does not get it in time, I considered our best option would be to delay the doctor's appointment for another week- which brings me to my next question... when the form from the consulate says that the medical exam should be 2 weeks before the interview, does it mean anytime within 2 weeks or does it mean exactly 2 weeks before interview?

Thanks!!

Mamicha

On to the next stretch... AOS, EAD filed... wish us good luck:)

I wasn't aware that a passport is needed for the medical exam. It's been a while so I am not sure on that (maybe it's used for identification purposes).

I would think that they would want the medical no later than 2 weeks before the interview. (that's my opinion) I wish i could be a little more help but hopefully someone that has recently dealt with Morocco can assist you more better. Good luck with everything.

didnt you need your medical exam AT the interview?

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

damn, that is tough!

what a stinky situation... you could probably postpone the medical, but the problem is really the passport... will it be ready in time even if you postpone it?

maybe best to a) call the doc and explain the situation and see if she will still do the exam w/o the passport...

and B ) as much as it stinks, have your SO do what he can to get his passport asap. it took months for my husband to get his passport for no good reason. he ended up having to pay a bunch of people off just to get it...

hope your situation will work out better!

good luck!!

well, that is good news! hope he gets the passport soon... i don't know why they make it so hard for some and not others... no rhyme or reason to it.

Good luck!
