Haven't had them on the half-shell, but Uni, Sea Urchin sushi, is awesome

I say "half shell" for clarity. What that really means is that they are split and served raw, with a spoon...

Most Sashimi places that I visited while living in Japan, served them that way. I tried that once...

Not sure Brother....Was Uni served to you in some other way? Did they scoop the flesh out and serve it on a plate with Wasabi? Restaurants vary...

As a kid my dad (Polish) loved pickeled Pigs feet... I never got into the pickling flavor (of anything except pickles)... But some say it is delicious

Ever tried Pickled Fish, Pickled Crab, and Pickled Shrimp? Sure they smell, but, with the right ingredients, the smell dissipates to nothing. It sure tastes good!

it's a strange texture. i think texture gets a lot of people. they made us try a lot of strange things in culinary school sea urchin was the least vile.

Did that 21 years ago in Hyde Park.....Still no love for Sea Urchins... I like Brussel sprouts though!!!
