I like century eggs - make a nice congee with them.

if solo, cut into quarters longwise, soak in black soy vinegar, put some 'Red ####### Sauce' on em, is great snack. not healthy at all, but great snack.

I used to find them from PRC in the stores, now only find them from TW, maybe I look again, see which COO has them? Was Big Problem with the Avian Flu, could not get them as often for a coupla years.

century eggs ain't balut- please - who-ever is making that association - stop it. TIA!

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

You eat that and you will die.

Eat anything and you will die, eventually...

Great photos, Marina. :star::thumbs:

I have still not tried huitlacoche. Must put it on my list of things to do this month!

I would try fugu after first watching others eat it and not die.

seriously dude, u gotta try it..

Marking it on my calendar. I will have tried it before the end of October...or my name isn't Rothsbury.

Uh...your name isn't Rothsbury :unsure:

Haven't had them on the half-shell, but Uni, Sea Urchin sushi, is awesome :)

I've tried durian, the hardest part for me is the nasty aftertaste, that just doesn't go away.

I say "half shell" for clarity. What that really means is that they are split and served raw, with a spoon...

Most Sashimi places that I visited while living in Japan, served them that way. I tried that once...
