Hi Guys,

So I've read that it varies from place to place as to how long it takes for the EAD to be approved and then consequently sent out in the mail, but here's my question: I filed everything to the Chicago Lockbox as I was supposed to, they received it all on June 2nd 2006 and on June 21st and 23rd I went in to have both sets of Biometrics done (one for EAD one for AOS) and I've heard nothing back since. Does anyone have any idea how long this should take for someone living in Oregon or which processing time guidlines I should be looking at on the USCIS website - my options are District Office, Service Center or National Benefits Center.

Does anyone also know how accurate these processing guidlines are?? I guess it's a little odd, I thought the EAD would come through WAY before the GreenCard Interview was set but we have even received a date for that for the end of August.

Can anyone shed any light on this for me please, many thanks in advance for any advice you might have.

You may get your greencard before your EAD.... that seems to be happening more and more.... or you may get your EAD just a few weeks before your interview.... the avrage time for EAd is between 80 - 90 days from NOA...

Good luck with your interview next month..

I also had my biometrics done on the 20th June 2006 and I have not heard a bean from USCIS except my AOS was touched on the 2nd July, I am getting bored and need to work :(:(

Nicely done..I see in your timeline you got your EAD...:-)

Yeah...still waiting here...between waiting on the email and checking the mail box EVERY DAY I'm going nuts!! Seems the National Benefits Centre Processing times aren't updated at all that often...they received my paperwork on June 2nd apparently and if the times are to be believed, they are only processing applications currently that were received on May 3rd...mind you...the last time they updated that page was July 19th...Last time anything was touched online for me was my AOS on June 26th...EAD last touched on June 21st...*argh*

*tearing my hair out*

:crying:
