London interviews are a doddle and a great anti climax, about 99.9% breeze them. Of course you could be in the odd 0.1%

Relax! :)

They're so anti-climatic. You picture a big office with a scary man sitting there and asking you intrusive questions. It's actually more like waiting at Argos and handing over your receipt (i.e documents) and having a quick chat.

You'll do fine.

I wasn't exactly nervous. I guess because I wasn't at the interview with my SO. Just try to relax. Remember to answer honestly, directly, eye contact and say a prayer together beforehand... You will be good to go! Wishing you all the luck your hearts can hold! :)

Its nearly 2 years since I had my interview and I remember it like yesterday. I was nervous too I was in my hotel and I couldn't sleep. It felt like one of the biggest days of my life as my future depended on it. But as Gemmie says its like Argos once you go through all the security.

Theres a kiosk that sells drinks, sandwhiches and choclate bars.

The staff at the embassy where very friendly and you just sit there with your ticket number waiting to be called. Whilst you are waiting have a look around the waiting area as you me even see someone famous. I seen the band Razorlight getting there USA tour visas.

I was in and out in about 3 hours. My appointment was 7:30 and I was approved and out in 3 hours. I was tired lack of sleep and was booked on a late train back to Liverpool ( I booked late train as it was a Friday) and I wanted to allow myself plenty of time just incase.

I was naturally worried things you know like was all my paperwork all ok was they gonna accept my fiances (now wifes) paperwork and the I-134 put the lovely freindly lady was happy with everything and said she didn't see any reason why I couldn't get the visa I was so over the moon got given my xray and payed for the courier.

I was tired all day and spent my last time in London trying to wake up and look around drinking Tescos version of redbull. Once I got on the train home in 1st class of course I had me some complentary beers to celebrate with.

You shouldn't really have any problems at all. Its natural to be nervious but also an interesting experience.

Our interview is on Tuesday, and i'm nervous cause nigel had a juvenile offense of letting air out of some guy's tires at age 17, i read somewhere that under 18 stuff doesnt count (we're 36!) but i'm hoping they wont make a big deal out of it he's been clean ever since!! Our acpo said "no live trace"on it cause that charge had been dropped down or something, so we're kinda freaked out at this point....i hope our interview will be as easy as some of these other people!

I know that these people are just doing their job, but I can't help but visualize some sort of godlike being sat behind a desk when I think about the interview.

It's been really helpful to read other VJers experiences at the interview, to help me prepare for what to expect. I'm hoping it'll make things at least a little less stressful to at least know what's "normal" and what's "not".

I don't have an interview date, but I sent off my IV-15 yesterday, so I'm now waiting for the appointment letter to arrive.
