The Montreal slowdown !!!

Hey guys, for all those waiting for interview dates at Montreal, Canada; is there nothing we can do to speed up this very long 4 month waiting period ?

This is just not fair, we have to wait and wait to be with the ones we love. All your thoughts on this issue are welcome.

Once you hit four months, I'd recommend involving a senator or congressperson. Beyond that though, not really. Montreal has deliberately limited contact methods so that we can't even directly talk to them except through email, and more often than not, the email address will fail to respond to your message personally.

I am just hoping they speed things up just like the USCIS and NVC or they should other consulates share some of the visa load. I read one of the posts wherein our fellow vj'ers have emailed President Obama and several other immigration ministers and tried to get them roped in.

I just don't understand how can a consulate be "understaffed". I mean come on, its the consulate for crying out loud.

If you e-mail Montreal always use the reply button on any e-mail they answered as it give you direct contact to the last person who contacted you, otherwise you end up in the generic mail batch and may never get an answer.
