If someone puts up a sticker with a swastika on it, you are a nazi for asking them to take it down ;)

Your comparing a Nazi sticker to the american flag sticker, good grief.

Er no. I'm not.

your trying to make a point by going to extremes, quite silly IMO

What are we whining/arguing about today here?

You get the smiley sticker for the day for asking the million dollar question!

Will I be asked to remove the sticker?

Will I be taxed on the million dollars?

Will someone try to make me into a socialist by taking the million dollars and the sticker just for asking a question?

Maybe

I am going to ask my uniformed friends to place a non-issue decal on their BDU to see how that goes for them.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

I think you ought to petition your co-workers to wear a fake mustache along with their lab coat.

Or the skull-n-bones on the back. That would explain some experiments going on the plank.

If they want to waste their time over something like that, sure.

and now were back to the its just a sticker argument.

Oh brother, did the IQ in the room just drop 60 points?

Yes....

Because... from the employers point of view...

it is!

They're not discriminating because its easier to put in a blanket ban than have to have idiot conversations about what imagery is deemed acceptable (which has precisely nothing whatsoever to do with the job these people do).

One word:

Eyepatch.

Its stupid to put your job at risk over a sticker.

to you its just a sticker, its more than just a sticker him. Why even were our wedding ring I mean after all its just a ring nothing more nothing less, thats the same sort of thinking your using to try and sell your point.

What does it matter what it means to him?

It matters alot! If my wedding ring was just for decoration I wouldnt wear it, not a ring person.

My wedding ring & the American flag mean a lot to me to, but again the firefighter was wrong IMO. Can you honestly equate patriotism with refusing to remove a sticker from a locker, which is directly against department policy? This isn't the Tiananmen Square protests; it's a misguided attempt to make a point.

Bingo, we have a winner folks

But, he was a Marine! Why don't you support our troops?

The Fire Commissioner is the former Marine, not Mr. Sticker, and I am one of the troops.

As long as everyone in the unit wears the same thing, no problem. You have to maintain uniformity, or it would not be a uniform.

You are correct, but the bait was not meant for you.

P.S. Does that mean I can thrash the Sunday patriots that fly old glory from the back of their pick-up trucks until they get shredded? "Excuse me son, but if you want to show your patriotism, BY just says you need to pay more taxes."

That's what rules and regulations are for. ;)
