Its stupid to put your job at risk over a sticker.

to you its just a sticker, its more than just a sticker him. Why even were our wedding ring I mean after all its just a ring nothing more nothing less, thats the same sort of thinking your using to try and sell your point.

What does it matter what it means to him?

It matters alot! If my wedding ring was just for decoration I wouldnt wear it, not a ring person.

My wedding ring & the American flag mean a lot to me to, but again the firefighter was wrong IMO. Can you honestly equate patriotism with refusing to remove a sticker from a locker, which is directly against department policy? This isn't the Tiananmen Square protests; it's a misguided attempt to make a point.

Bingo, we have a winner folks

But, he was a Marine! Why don't you support our troops?

You have obviously not read everything I have posted. I have said he should of followed the rules and make noise about it afterwards. I dont think the fact he is taking issue with this makes him stupid, him not following the rules is what makes it stupid. The departments blanket approach to this was stupid.

Will I be asked to remove the sticker?

Will I be taxed on the million dollars?

Will someone try to make me into a socialist by taking the million dollars and the sticker just for asking a question?

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

No, it was this clown's approach that was stupid. Instead of taking the issue up through normal channels he chose to flout his superiors' commands (not a very good thing to do in an organisation where following rules keeps people safe), petulant child that he is.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

a weddding ring is more relevant that an american flag sticker....a reach

Regardless that wasnt my point, I was trying to get thru to Gene that to this firefighter it isnt JUST a sticker. Gene keeps wanting to hang his hat on that its just a sticker so I was trying to put it a way that he could understand.

Erm why should anyone care what it means to him?

If someone puts up a sticker with a swastika on it, you are a nazi for asking them to take it down ;)

Your comparing a Nazi sticker to the american flag sticker, good grief.

Have I patted him on the back for the way he is handling this?

Well if they agree with him they should care, maybe then together they could change the rules.
