Bob got it done for GUZ - her interview is next month - 133 days from NOA-1 to Interview day.

http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profil...=0&id=72924

NVC Electronic Filing Rocks !!

For GUZ Filers - kills the 'dead zone' of wait time, usually 2 to 4 months.

Whoop! GoGoGadget SafeFile!

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Hey - for GUZ-bound petitions, we get interview dates from calling DOS, getting a HUMAN to read a screen after NVC case complete.

Is that the same for Montreal ? or is it something @ NVC ?

Montreal folks call NVC - or DOS - they basically have the same info.

I found it to be excellent. It remains to be seen (for me) how they deal with EP stuff at the actual interview...but it has certainly been a benefit at the NVC level. The most notable reason is because we had an RFE on the I-864 -- a very minor error -- and we were able to get it back to them on the same day we found out about the error. Our case was completed a mere three days later. If we'd had to send in the corrected forms via mail, it would have likely taken at least another week.

I've had a few PMs about this lately, so just a quick rule of thumb for those folks about to do Electronic Processing:

The whole process perfectly mirrors regular processing, the only differences being that A.) you have to scan all your documents into .pdf format and email them (there's literally NO paper exchange), and B.) there are NO instructions sent from NVC about the process. But it really is the same -- when your fee payment becomes available on NVC's site, you pay it as you normally would, then wait until you get the bar-coded cover sheet...THEN you send that, along with all of the scanned documents required in the first step (i.e.: what you would be sending in your first snail mail package to NVC...). Then, once they've received that, the payment site will show the NEXT fee to be due. You pay that, then monitor the site until that clears and you get the second bar-coded sheet. You then email that along with the next batch of scanned documents. It's also important to call NVC's automated voice recording (AVR) system every day or two, just to make sure things are progressing. You're really in the dark otherwise...so you need to keep tabs on it. I only learned of an RFE (minor mistake on our end) three days after it was issued, simply because I called the NVC AVR on a lark. I was able to have that taken care of on the same day I called them...and the case was completed three days later.

I plan on eventually doing up a Wiki for this once I've successfully navigated through the whole process (including interview, since things are a bit different for EPers there too). Until then, for the few of you who are about to start / have started the EP process, just be aware that there's really no communication from NVC. You just have to assume you're doing it correctly!

Darnell already started a EP wiki page here:

http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/...onic_Processing

Hopefully you can modify that to include more Montreal info when you do it.

You are going to be very busy writing after your interview

Oh, I know all about Darnell's Wiki...but it's quite China-centric right now. I'll do up a related one.

are you paying online at the online payment portal ? kinda makes a difference, on 'how to answer you'.

You should send in the OPTIN email with DS-3032 attachment, regardless of 'payment status'.

I am trying to pay the AOS bill online right now. I check the AOS box, then click on Pay Selected Fees, and nothing happens. That page just reloads. I feel like an idiot; what am I doing wrong?
