Hey everyone!

I opted in to electronic processing and attached my DS-3032 a week ago but have not heard anything yet. Three days later NVC e-mailed me the case number and DS-3032 and also the AOS invoice. However, I haven't received confirmation of my opt in. Do I need to resend the optin e-mail and DS-3032?

I noticed some people's timelines say they continued with NVC EP and then received opt in e-mail later. Should I hold off paying AOS and sending in I-864 and supporting docs till I receive confirmation of opt in? Or can I go ahead with the payment?

If I do go ahead would I continue to send to the NVCElectronic e-mail or the NVCMontreal e-mail?

Thanks in advance for the help!

This too shall pass.

The opt'in email and the Sending of the documents are two different routes. Pay the AOS fee and when it shows as paid, go ahead and scan all documents necessary to supplement the I-184. When you send in make sure you include your NVC case number in the subject line. DO NOT PUT OPTIN.

Same as the opt-in email. Everything gets sent to the same email address.

Make sure to include your NVC case number in the subject line and then add at the end 'Affidavit of Support I-864 Documents', just so it helps NVC identify which documents it is.

I was curious does it matter which email the AOS documents are sent from. Should it be sent from the Petitioners or Beneficiaries?

I personally don't think it would matter. As long as NVC has the email address on file and you put your case number in the subject line. I don't see why they would refuse it if it was sent from the petitioner when it was supposed to be the beneficiary, or vice verse.

Perhaps someone who has actually done this process can add what they did.

I know the choice of Agent form has to be sent in by the beneficiary. That is why I was unsure about the rest of the documentation.

I must say so far this EP process has been interesting for me. The entire NVC process is moving foward all with out any notification that they have enrolled me into EP. Ive sent the DS3023 twice now, and it still has not been accepted to OPTIN. Yet My AOS and IV bills have both become due to be paid and Ive sent in my AOS stuff electronically. And it was accepted. SO I am not sure whats going on, but as soon as my wifes IV becomes payable Ill be sending that off too.

Hi all,

We're still a bit away from this part of the process but we will be doing EP when the time comes. My question is this:

So we send everything in and pay all the fees per the instructions; we try to log in and we see "Sign in Failed"... Then what? Do we wait for a letter saying our case is complete and that we should wait to be contacted for an interview? Do we schedule our appt online at the Montreal Consulate immediately? Do we receive an email saying the case is complete with a link to schedule the interview?

Just wondering if someone who's done EP and has been thru Mtl could share.

Thanks!

My husband and I did the electronic filing. I did find it a little... unorganized overall. I did the opt in, but it wasn't as straight forward as... We have A, now we need B, we have B, now we need C, etc etc. It was more like.. hey we got this, now send this. And then 10 days later it was.. HAY we didn't get THIS, but they never asked.

Either way, we still got everything scanned and sent out digitally and got the approval faster than by mail. However, now we're just in the endless queue for a Montreal interview. I think they're still working out the kinks of electronic filing, but even with the bit of disorganization, it went fairly smoothly.

You get sign in fail then wait a day or two and give nvc a call They will tell you that yes your case is complete . you will get an email within a few days saying the exact same thing. Now We just had to sit and wait for like 4-5 months till they emailed us our interview date but they are changing their system so it could be different by the time you get to that part.

Thanks!

Estimates/Stats : Your I-130 was approved in 157 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 414 days from your I-130 NOA1 date. There were some hic-cups with EP, they lost out OPTIN email and they didn't recognize the NEW long form birth certificate so we had to resend it with an explanation but it would have been faster than mailing it anyway.

Hence it took longer than it should have getting through NVC. Double check things before you send them, make sure you add the Cover sheet, and you'll be fine.

The wait is the agonizing part.

Thank goodness for this site and the support!

This is a smokin' hot and awesome thread. Many thanks to those who have gone through the paces and solved many nuances of the process. Just a couple of quick questions for those who have been there before, as I see this wasn't asked or referred to in these 28 pages. I apologize if it has been covered elsewhere and I haven't found it yet.

When making these several electronic payments, which method has been found to receive the "quickest" (so to speak) response rates to change the status to "paid" so the next packets can get sent out?

What I mean is, do they only accept payments from an accredited (perhaps US only?) bank account, or do they accept a credit card payment when in there? Or how about something from a "different source" (PayPal, Neteller, e-cheques, pay as you go VISA or "debit cards", etc). I think I read somewhere about a payment being personally made at a Scotiabank in Canada being made when going the regular route, but obviously if this is all being done online then that wouldn't apply for electronic processing.

Just curious about this portion of the thing as I haven't seen reference to it (yet), and once again I am sorry if it has already been covered.

Thanks for your time in advance.

I know from experience that we used a US Bank account and I believe this is the only way to do it online. I do not remember seeing anything about credit cards or paypal Just bank Information. I believe it usually takes 2-5 business days to process but its still quite quick :)
