Electronic Processing

Opps sorry, I meant I sent it on Ari 27th, which is like 11 days ago, I tried holding for awhile, called several times but couldn't get through- should I resend the DS-3032???

Once you get your confirmation of OPTIN ie 'thank you for your interest in electronic processing...we have now updated your file with the emails you provided' etc, that shows you are confirmed for OPTIN. Plus if you've sent the DS3032 with that OPTIN email initially, then you are good to go. Another way of knowing for sure is when they send you electronic documents ie fee bills or other correspondence...have a look to see that they are sending to both email addresses and the petitioner's email address. If you get email to both, that's indication you are lined up correctly. In our case, they sent the information to my wife (petitioner) and cc to me.

The other thing I wonder about and I've posted on before, is that I think the DS3032 could likely go the way of the dinosaur (extinct) for electronic processing.

This is nothing more than my humble opinion.

But, the DS3032 identifies and assigns the 'choice of agent' to whom NVC then sends payment invoices and I 864 and DS 230 packages. This makes perfect sense for those filing via courier and postal services, but frankly, those of us using electronic filing know that we can send all of this by email and the internet, rending 'choice of agent' somewhat irrelevant. Again my opinion only, but given that I assigned my wife as the 'agent', I then proceeded to submit all the documents via my email address - so what's the point of identifying the petitioner as agent when I, the beneficiary, sent everything via my email and it all went through smoothly, relatively quickly and without RFEs and the like? - well smoothly outside of a few rants I had online (and in private) haha.

Perhaps NVC/USCIS will eventually acknowledge that DS3032 are best served by those using non electronic processing. Until then, and if, obviously we still follow the protocal and prodecures but.....blah blah blah

Have a good day of hurry up and wait. :bonk:

Got RFE's for I-864's and self-emplyment letter. Spoke to 3 operators to figure out the right numbers to put on the I-864 and one of them was so mean!!

My husband just resent the corrected forms and the letter last night. Hopefully everything's right this time and our case will be completed soon...

I've been fortunate in that my dealings with NVC has been positive and that no one has been 'mean' per say. There was one that was encroaching on being somewhat terse. I realize those of us in the system may not be comfortable making waves with them including the mean ones because we want to get through as smoothly as possible. However, remember that the operators are accountable to us, Jane and Joe Public, as well as to their administrative supervisors and political masters. There's no excuse for rudeness when you're just trying to inquire further. So as long as they remain the 'face' of this gov't system, then they have to field questions. And as the face of gov't they have a responsibility for playing nicey nice.

Good luck with the RFE - here's to speedy and smooth process ~!~

Here's the latest on me...so the AVR and two operators have said that they have not received my Ds-3032...one of the operator says that I should resend it...which I did...the other told me to not keep sending it as they process emails on order of receipt....which makes sense!

The first operator was cool and nice...the other operator...a female...was a little pissed but polite...she asked me my husband number...and I got a little nervous and kinda said it...then she completed it for me...I am like...GEEZ...LOL...I know...I just hope she didn't put anything in her system like...blah blah...the wife couldn't remember the entire number...geez...

Whatever!

That's been that!

So not sure if I have messed up by sending my DS-3032 twice and called twice...who knows...time will tell!

We had to send in the I-864 twice because they never received the first one. Talked to a supervisor and were advised to send it again. They got it the 2nd time.

Unfortunately on the DS-230, we got an RFE on my husbands military record from the South African Navy. He has requested it a 3rd time as of this morning and was told to wait another 3 weeks for it...

We're still in the process of getting our NVC number but I had a silly question. Did people send individual files (ex. pdf file of I-864, file of paystubs, file of tax transcripts) or did you just make one package (one pdf file containing everything)? I don't think it matters, I'd just feel safer going with the majority since I now believe anything and everything can jinx the process ha ha.

This too shall pass.
