Man, NVC must be on a roll today, I just got the AOS Fee Bill Payment Information, just a quick question...my husband doesn't have a printer at home...so should he have one...like when we make the payment...do we have to print the cover sheet immediately...or the coversheet becomes available after the status shows PAID...

Basically...we don't want to take a chance now to make the payments but be unable to print it for our records...

Just wondering, maybe we should wait until he gets into work tomorrow to print anything if required...

You can print off the cover sheet for your records but you don't need to at this stage. You will need to save the cover sheet as a pdf document. The payment portal allows you to save the copy. After your AOS bill shows as PAID then you want to submitt all your pdf documents that make up the I 864 package ie tax transcripts, his letter of employment, W2s, 2009 taxes etc. And remember ALL of the documents you send via EP will have to be taken in original format to the interview in Montreal. With normal postal delivery, you would be submitted the original documents to NVC - but because of opting in to the EP, you scan the documents but have to bring the originals with you. So make sure you are able to get the originals from your hubby unless you already have them.

This is a good time to have all your I 864 and DS230 documents prepared and scanned and ready. Things will move relatively quickly compared to waiting for NOA2 so you don't want to lose time by collecting the documents now. Get them ready.

Your DS3032 acceptance/EP confirmation was quick. Mine took a few weeks although I did get the AOS bill the day after OPTIN. That was great. You're moving and grooving now because you've got OPTIN /DS3032 and the AOS bill ready to be paid.

yeah, I know, its crazy! just hoping there's no more RFE..going to make the AOS payment tomorrow...hopefully no issues there...

Finally got our RFE email today requesting the Official Military Record and 2009 Tax Transcript. Hubby ordered the military record last night from South Africa and they said it would take just 1-2 weeks, so that's faster than we thought. For mine, I did submit the W-9 and 2 recent paycheck stubs to show work for 2009-10 (hadn't filed 2009 taxes when I submitted the I864) but this is what the checklist for missing items said:

Supporting Documents missing or incomplete

[x] A written statement/explanation is required if you are/have been unemployed, retired or dependent as to why

tax returns were not filed.

[x] The listed income tax documents/IRS statements for the years marked below are missing/incomplete (if you

have lost any of the requested tax information, contact your local IRS office to obtain a copy) (Only Federal

returns (not state or local) are acceptable unless the sponsor's income was earned in Puerto Rico.)

• Federal income tax returns, literal printouts from the IRS (RTFTP) or a Letter 1722 issued by IRS

are missing/incomplete for the year(s): [x] 2009 [ ] 2007 [ ] 2006 [ ] 2005.

[x] You have not enclosed an explanation of why you were not required to file income taxes under

Federal tax laws for any/all of the 3 most recent tax years. Residence outside of the U.S. or retirement

does not exempt a U.S. Citizen or LPR from filing a Federal tax return. Individuals who were required to

file Federal returns but failed to do so are advised to file late returns.

I wasn't unemployed at all last year and I did file taxes, just after filing the I864. So I'm guessing just submitting the 2009 tax transcript from the IRS will answer all 3 of the questions above? And it stated earlier in the letter that I have to re-fill out and submit the I864 form. I wonder why that is - all the information will be the same...

They can be used for the same purpose, you betcha - either/or.

Some ppl make this bundle, though -

TY 2009 - 1040, all forms,schedules and W-2s/1099s/1098s

IMO - thats really a function of the 'Montreal Calendar' - and Montreal IV unit has been backlogged for ages.

If you get some speed, if you get 'appointment date set' within 4 weeks of 'case complete at NVC' - be blessed !

So the AVR is telling me that they have received the I-864 that was sent just recently, but they haven't recieved the DS-3032 form! that was sent 1- days ago!!...I am holding right now to speak to an operator...want to ensure if things are fine before sending off the form again!

Hmm, I remember my ds-3032 took a while to be inputted into the system. Took them like 2 weeks to acknowledge it.

Opps sorry, I meant I sent it on Ari 27th, which is like 11 days ago, I tried holding for awhile, called several times but couldn't get through- should I resend the DS-3032???
